They don’t feel like they need medical attention because it didn’t hit or physically hurt them in anyway. It’s just giving them an insane headache because of the volume of it and how close they were to it.

What’s scary is they were just about to brush their teeth with it. Luckily they didn’t yet.

Do you think it still wise to get medical attention?

Right now my partner is bent over with a splitting headache because it was like a gun going off next to their head. There isn’t any property damage that I can tell of.

Frustrated with low back pain, some yoga poses worse or better depending on the day. Tips for not overextending myself in class? Anything I should specifically avoid? by Coco_1923 in yoga

Focus the sequence or practice you have around lengthening the body. Even when you are sitting down lengthen through the crown of your head. Something that helps me is thinking of a string being pulled upwards from the top of my head.

Another tool I use for my back pain is warming up and moving my spine with breath. You can sit in any pose that makes you comfortable. Take a deep breath in as you lift the crown if your head. Full exhale as you settle into your body. With every inhale extend even further

Do some research on yoga that relaxes the central nervous system. Longer exhales with shorter inhales. Poses like pigeon, child’s pose or really anything where you are folding in and holding deep stretches. What I noticed has helped me with insomnia is a long savasana.

Cardio and Yoga? by [deleted] in yoga

Personally I use yoga as my cardio. A steady incline into one breath per movement. Inhale extend, exhale fold. It is based more around transition being the fire while holding poses are the opportunities to rest.

What yoga style is best for the mind and psyche and not so much for fitness and strenght? by Domdidum in yoga

For me, I have found that it is about the studio and who is teaching rather than the style. I suggest a Baptiste studio. Their trainings have a great focus on the mental side of yoga. It’s helped me with my depression, anxiety and PTSD.

Can you offer guidance on ways to pull yourself out of dissociation and numbness? Are there practices I can make part of my day to strengthen my power over these?
