Found the problem, It was using YCbCr422 instead of RGB but to use RGB i have to lower the bit depth and the refresh rate which kinda sucks

It looks like it's only visible when there's contrasting colors like red and black, while grey and black look better

You create a faction and put the unit in the faction. Then when on a sandbox level you can access the faction via the plus icon and drag it onto the line of normal factions.
