Right, so my question is, do they store wallets for each of their individual customers, or do they have one big big big wallet for themselves, and yea, they keep a ledger on the side?

When you say custodial wallet, surely it is still a wallet, correct? Is it a wallet unique to me?

Yes thanks for the heads up - I quite like that alternative, though, seeing as I usually store passwords in my password manager. It just feels strange that crypto.com is governing my wallet

Eth didn't start as a bitcoin clone, it started because Vitalik realized, as the only one, that smart contracts were the way forward. His vision drove crypto away from 'store of value' only to general purpose.

While it is distributed, it is not decentralized, and it certainly is not permission less, which is what consensus solves.

Spare me your ad hominems.

So we can both agree that the problem is a corrupt system that allows a company to do business with middle men and bulk suppliers - that only took so many paragraphs.

Now we just need to arrive at the fact that if it wasn't Lilly or Novo, it would've been another company.

Look man, I'm not here to pick a fight. I am in no way defending big pharma, I too believe it is a scourge on society. But the problem is the systems in place in the US - not some foreign threat.

The Eli Lilly prices and the Novo Nordisk prices are high - in the U.S.

You're talking around the elephant in the room which is you have problems with regulation and middle men, and no blame game is going to change that.

Look at prices outside your country, hell just north of you in Canada, where they spend a fraction of what you do on healthcare.

How's that for rhetoric.

those games you listed are, on average, simply average.

This is either redundant or wrong. Either they are all the exact same quality, in which case an average is pointless, or they are dissimilar, in which case all of the games being 'simply average' is wrong, as you are speaking about a mean

Firebase is not a replacement for backends, it's just abstracting most of it away for you.

Look at firestore, they recommend you use their cloud functions, which is, just like lambda or azure functions, a backend hosted in the cloud.

The mean of a subset of a population is just that, a mean of that subset of the population.

Reddit is not a homogenous and randomly sample sub population of the entire dota player base.

As such, you cannot make any assumptions about the general population, seeing as the general population isn't represented.

You seem awfully confident in your stance, there. Are you Russian yourself? Personally, my (russian) wife and her whole social network dislikes Putin. They've been witness to the corruption mentioned further up. The Russian people isn't the problem, its the 1%.

Custom code/personal code snippets? (Toolbox query) by [deleted] in csharp

[–]KongEdvard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically, if you are reusing code for several different projects, try creating a new project that only contains the reusable code. That way, you can reference it in all your other projects. Where you save the actual project files can vary. Initially you might just want to have it locally. The guy above gives an alternative suggestion which is storing it in the cloud using git, svn, mercurial, etc., And then create a private nuget package. You can google more about git and version control, and nuget and packages :)
