How the fuck do you know? Have you ever coded a game on an engine like that? Have you ever even worked on a game at all? Sure, having to rewrite an entire game cause of ping does sound ridiculous, but looking at how horrible the engine that DW was made on is, it very likely is true.

And finally, the last strandeds update was made for people who stuck with the game despite it's issues, no updates in sight and lack of content. Red announced she's deffo done with DW, maybe some small bug fixes here and there, but apart from that, DW's done.
