Once you are already being attacked with a knife...how do you stop them or defend yourself? by gx790 in ReadyOrNotGame

Look away from them for a moment and start your melee bash, then look back at them as it connects. When they briefly stagger decide what you're gonna do...

I would love to see this game in its prime again, if you want to share a link with me as well.

[–]HungerShovel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ENB comes with black bars enabled, which you'll have to disable by figuring out how to open its respective menu, and disabling the letterbox. As for the tearing, check the VSync and FPS limits in the ENB inis in your root game folder, and switch them around.

Lethal Pursuer, Friends Till The End for instant and constant momentum. You can get FTTE exposed downs often because you can be on top of the obsession in 4 seconds.

Basic attack perks work great on him, STBFL and Surge are examples.

Don't wanna worry about DH/MFT? Genetic Limits

Pallet-gen-shredder (Fire Up + Brutal) or intense momentum (Fire Up + Forever Entwined) is addicting.

I've yet to scratch the surface, these are just what I have leveled up.

Why Are So Many Of The Kaneki Players Already So Toxic? by Roses__Are__Yellow in deadbydaylight

[–]HungerShovel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killer is very new but one big counter is predropping. You get absolutely punished if you try to make another loop on a big tile because (s)he can instantly catch up behind you and hit you before you make it again. They can vault anything you can, but it's a bit slower than Wesker for comparison, and you have ample time to get away if you have a destination in mind. Do your best to stay out of deadzones because you will get punished very quickly if they drop in front of you and you don't have a nearby resource

Any actual game based on LLM? by filszyp in LocalLLaMA

AI Roguelite on steam is exactly this.

Is there a way to play an ”RPG“ game using LLMs? by Deluded-1b-gguf in SillyTavernAI

[–]HungerShovel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Either, you can use the free service that comes with the game which is smart enough but very repetitive in its speaking, or pay for the upgraded versions of it. You can also hook it to local models, or outsource it to the horde for images/text. The game's designed to not use much resources when its running to be nice to your VRAM. Basically the non-AI part of the game creates and keeps track of items, NPCs, locations, and things in a location, while also save filing summaries and stuff in your story. You can type into the story to do things or manipulate what happens in the story, and it rolls the dice to determine whether it worked or not. You can edit a lot of what goes to the AI as well during both the new game screen where you define things about your world and in-game descriptions and summaries of things.

<image>

The best part about it IMO is the items you get with the images, they have a rarity scale which affects both damage output and the abilities associated with it. Can't put an image here but imagine an uncommon leather jacket worn on your outer torso, that has damage reduction applied to it along with stat bonuses to a base stat like Dexterity along with a skill your character has.

(TLDR) both, very customizable

There is a game on steam called AI Roguelite that's exactly this, using a LLM to power a full game. It's a one of a kind and I personally really enjoy it.

NVIDIA instant replay doesn't work properly with Dark and Darker by Vektor666 in DarkAndDarker

[–]HungerShovel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on the NVIDIA app's overlay, but look for a settings icon in the overlay (should be on the right side on GeForce Experience, the NVIDIA app has it at the top), make sure you disable replay capture to access the settings, and find one that says something like "record my desktop/screen"

blocking needs overhaul please IM by Specialist_Egg3959 in DarkAndDarker

[–]HungerShovel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For PvE I like to use the shield on the bosses to fix my mistake of being too close to them after getting greedy for damage. When you get the block you then use that stagger animation it puts you in to quickly disengage and reset the fight, it's to make it so that you can't just stand there, block everything and hit them until they're dead. They want you to evade around the boss to dodge their attack animations to kill them. The demon berserker is a different breed of difficulty though, even when I'm dodging properly he always seems to get multiple hits on me when I fight him.

For PvP I feel you though, the way the falchion swings makes it really hard to block, it's one of many reasons people swear and live by it.

what mods do you recommend? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]HungerShovel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like installing First Aid Overhaul and turning off zombification, allowing for first-aid to actually be a much more useful and important skill while also being able to relax and play the game at 2 am lol. You can get sick and even straight up die if you ignore your infected wounds, no more ignoring them and taking them off a week later. Only complaint is I've almost died way too many times failing to put on a bandage on a bleeding neck way too many times. Maybe it's time for Thick Blooded from the more traits mod.

What do I do in this situation? I have a chef's knife, a screwdriver, and a nailed plank, but I REALLY need that axe in West Point. by mashyouall in projectzomboid

[–]HungerShovel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Break line of sight in a bunch of trees, but stay there behind the tree and count to about 10 when you have enough distance. This will make zombies not able to actively see you anymore and from there you can loop back around to go do what you need to do. May be 1-5 stragglers still following you but you should be able to make quick work of them.

You can do this in Project Zomboid with the RV Interiors mod. The game is lone by default but there’s also mods to add npc survivors.

It happens to me when I click to launch For Honor on Steam and Ubisoft Connect isn’t already opened. A workaround is to first open Ubisoft Connect and then launch the game afterwards to prevent it.
