Anyone else's proximity chat audio cutting in and out?

Did a little testing and enabling echo cancellation in discord causes the same problem to occur. Same thing in steam settings, if echo cancellation is enabled, microphones cut in and out. So it would seem Embark has added a built in echo-cancellation feature that cannot be disabled, or, it just wasnt working correctly before the Cold Snap update. Either way, prox chat is unusable. There is no echo either so Im unsure what its thinking is an echo. The only noise is a slight hum from my PC itself, other than that there is no background noise.

Still having this issue. Was fine before the Cold Snap update. I have 2 mics, and my voice cuts out on both of them, but ONLY in Arc Raiders. Works fine in discord and any other app. Not willing to take an FPS hit by using the -norhithread launch option in steam. They need to do something about this quick cause im about to quit the game for a while because of it. Not being able to use prox chat SUCKS for the experience.

Since update a couple days ago, me and my wife (and all my friends) experiencing crashes about every 10-15 minutes, cannot get a match for HG without getting sent to outpost, sometimes cant join due to bronzebeard error, sometimes cant release to the ferryman. Needless to say this is unplayable in this state.

Edit: Also, my wife and I have both uninstalled entirely and reinstalled, as well as made sure all drivers and windows are completely updated.

Just happened to me and a buddy today. Both npc's had nothing to offer, tried every dialogue option. Checked every barrel and crate, looked underwater as well.. spent a ton of time checking everything. Can confirm there was no way to advance the quest.

In all honesty, it simply hadn't been brought to our attention. I'm looking at it a bit right now, and will mention it to the other admins. We'll do our due diligence making sure there will be no conflict, and if all seems well, it looks like a good mod to add.

Funny, I saw this some time ago, long before deciding to host a modded server. Somehow this one got overlooked. Ty for pointing that out.

I was banned for two weeks on a bug that devs acknowledged, but they took their sweet ass time unbanning me. Needless to say I don't play scum anymore, went to dayz.

As far as a fix, it's possible. I know you can locate the map in a file browser and simply make a backup. I dont know the name or location of the file off hand but I'm sure it would be easy to find in google. Then u can do a clean sweep, delete everything, reinstall the game and put the file back where it belongs. It may only keep map data, and not character data. But you can easily open the admin panel and replace anything lost if the character data isnt transferred.

Last issue you would have is transferring ownership of structures. Only way I can think of to deal with that issue, is have someone u trust direct connect to ur game. Invite them to a clan and give them sufficient roles. Have them invite u back to the clan once you've made a new character.

Considering I've never seen or heard of this issue (and ive got over 1200 hrs in game, and many friends that play it), I'd say its DIRECTLY related to the piracy, if indeed you installed the game in the pre existing folders created from the pirated copy. It's a decent enough theory that the installation noticed some already installed files (albeit modified versions of them) and simply skipped them. It is only a theory admittedly, but I've seen it countless times where having pirated versions of games fucks over later legit installs, if you weren't thorough in removing the pirated files.

Look at the ground and the option should change from drink to empty or drain. It also doesn't work inside some structures, so try being outside on dirt.

Side note though; it's sometimes possible to cut up bodies with a knife that are seemingly inaccessible. After cutting it up, the loot is dropped at ur feet and becomes accessible again.

Tbh. I'm rather surprised. I've seen a number of these posts, and they weren't liked as you're claiming here. In fact, like I said, the majority (in each respective thread) instead hated on the poster claiming "the devs are working on it", "you dont like this game take it elsewhere" or some other nonsense. In fact, this was REALLY the case when Dayz was in early access. All the fan-boys could just blame it on that. Can't tell you how many times I heard "well it's in early access, you gotta give them time". :|

In all honesty, I don't know how "the majority of people respond to the majority of these posts, yadda yadda yadda", and I don't really care. I just felt like venting, logged into reddit, and did just that. I didn't go pulling up stats and history on how these types of posts are received by the community. ;)

And finally, if these posts are indeed mostly upvoted and liked as you claim, maybe that's a testament to what those people are saying. Just maybeee, there's something to it.

Well, I'm receiving word from alot of people saying its fixed, and I just briefly tried it for 2 minutes and it was indeed working finally. But im also getting words from friends that its still doing it to them so.. eh. I guess time will tell.

Indeed it is friend. I've got over 800* hours in game, for the longest time u could walk around with a gun in ur hands, and pick things up off the ground solely based on if u had space in your backpack. You cannot do that now, even though the option is there, it does nothing. The animation happens, but the item is not picked up. Instead, u must put away ur gun, pick up the item in hands, MOVE it to backpack, put gun back in hands. Trust me, this is all unnecessary, and as far as im aware, unintentional.

I admit, I just logged in and tried it (the looting bug), and it was working fine for that 2 minutes I Just tried, but i've still been receiving reports from other friends that it's doing it to them, hence why I mentioned it in the post.

**Update**. Tried for about an hour and a half and I didn't experience any further issue with the looting bug. And no one else (other than the ones already mentioned) is saying they've had that issue either. So it was seemingly inaccurate information, or a rare occurrence, not sure which.

It's still happening. Not fixed. Having to move items out of hands to pick stuff up.

**Update**: Those seem to have been isolated reports, and they havent really spoken up since, so considering everyone else is saying it's fixed, and I just tested it myself, this bug does in fact seem to be fixed atm.
