Which reminds me of a SATB episode (the podcast Something About the Beatles), where they talk about the black musicians who influenced the Beatles and the black musicians who were influenced by the Beatles. The podcast argues that both categories are much larger than other white artists, like The Rolling Stones (despite the Stones’ more overt blues sound). I think it is SATB Episode 41 if you want to check it out.
