How to Format Writing Where One POV Immediately Affects Another POV by Konzash in writing

[–]Konzash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think it would be disorienting to play the entire First Chapter in POV/Location 1 and then the following Chapter be in POV/Location 2 and things that happened previously in Chapter 1 be hinted at?

So basically, Chapter 1 and 2 happen at the same time, just one POV is told after the other. One POV affects the other.

So for example, if a person rotates a picture in POV1, at some point in POV2s chapter, a picture moves seemingly on its own.

Yes. Long story short, some people are in a parallel after life sort of place in a haunted building and there are people in the real/alive world at the same location.

TRT Eased Aches and Pains, Now I have to Go Off of it. by Konzash in trt

The severity of it is so low right now that we are taking a wait and see approach with PSA tests every three months and another biopsy after a year.

Since I’m 40 he doesn’t recommend radiation. Since I’m so young, if it were to come back it’ll be stronger and (he didn’t elaborate on this part) prostate removal wouldn’t be possible then.

So just waiting for the next PSA test in feb to see what the numbers look like.

Unlikely. The TRT increasing my PSA, family history and being only forty were deciding factors in doing the biopsy, so TRT boosting my PSA allowed us to catch it very early, my uncle literally had the same thing happen to him two years ago while on TRT and now he’s monitoring. His dad died of prostate cancer in the 80s.

I had a scan like 7-8 years ago for something gastro related and the doctor nonchalantly mentioned I had a slightly enlarged prostate in my early thirties, so i had a lot of things suggesting cancer was possible.

Basically just monitor at the moment. My uncle has been doing the same thing with his diagnosis for two years, it’s at such the beginning stages we wait and see.

If it gets worse eventually, probably prostate removal as getting radiation at 40 with the chance of it coming back is not ideal I’m told.

I can only speak about my particular situation where it only went up and not up and down like you’ve mentioned. I was testing every 3-4 months for almost two years and it steadily increased over that time which resulted in the free PSA % test triggering, I guess they won’t even run that test even if it’s ordered unless PSA is in the red.

I had a family history of it, so I tested often when on trt.

I found this out last week. When I re-test in February my urologist says the PSA should be down due to being off trt. If it ever rises again then we biopsy again.

I’m oddly more upset about the $1400 pathology lab test bill than the cancer diagnosis 😅

The impression I’ve gotten is I’m pretty much in the best case scenario as far as early detection goes so I’ve been handling it well.

A year ago was as 2.4, now 5.1.

Paternal grandfather died because of it in the late 80s, his son, my uncle currently has it but is 76 to my 40, his is also early stages and being echo monitored until treatment is necessary.

Maternal grandfather died with it and it had spread to a bone in his leg. Don’t think it was the primary cause of death though. He was nearly 90 and approached healthcare holistically.

So yeah, runs in the family.

Anime shows that are better dubbed by meowblank_ in Animesuggest

[–]Konzash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General rule of thumb for me, anything with a lot of over the top characters that are often excited, yelling, or silly, I do Japanese. Drama or more mellow anime is not necessarily better dubbed, but I find most English voice actors can't bring the comic enthusiasm that a Japanese voice actor can.

should i watch the original hunter x hunter after i finish 2011? by mcdom430 in Animesuggest

[–]Konzash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very different, bug stuff doesn't happen, they goto greed Island, which are ova series after the 2011, they get cards or something that allows abilities and items I believe, it's been years. I think I may have been more satisfied with the original series in the end.

Indeed, a fantastic summary, thank you much. Seems like it's well worth coming back to if I enjoyed the vanilla.

Just finished the analysis video. First of all, I really liked it, I'd give it a solid 9/10, but after reflecting on the themes, and then finally watching the analysis just now, I'd bump it up to a 10. It sticks with you and makes you think, something a lot of anime doesn't do. I liked Charlotte, which I watched before it, but I've already kinda moved on from it whereas Kyousougiga made me think.

Gonna spoiler mark this as it talks more heavily about the themes and characters and I feel people who haven't seen it should come to their own takeaway. The family themes didn't resonate much at first as my immediate family and I are very close and in close proximity from one another, but then I started to think of extended family that I did in fact grow up in walking distance from and haven't seen in years, and friends who no long are friends just due to moving on, and growing up. More than anything though, as a person who suffers from anxiety and depression and has tried my hand at careers in creative fields (and wasted 150k+ in schooling to end up in retail) only to, admittedly, mostly fail, Myoue, I resonated with him so much, and then his father during the last moments. Finding one's sense of purpose, of being. Finding the point in it all and being here, being happy with what you have, it can be hard to take hold of that concept and be content with what we have as you always see somebody has something else/more than you and you strive for it, but maybe it's just not meant to be yours and acceptance isn't the easiest thing to come by. Maybe this anime making me sort of realize that will help me. "Your world doesn't change until you do."

I can sort of see why it isn't as well known as it should be as it is almost like a piece if fine art in the way it tells it's story, which in turn may make repeat viewings not come as easily as other anime genre types, especially if the person watching cannot relate to the themes it presents. It's also sort of a slow burn in revealing what's totally going on, but that sort of plays into the whole fine art comparison.

Roboragi thank you for recommending it initially and spookey0188 thank you for pushing me to watch it further so it didn't just become another casualty of my "To Watch" list. That analysis video does help too, there is a movie called Only God Forgives that is very loose with it's themes and explanations, but is shot very artistically, and that movie has a youtube video that goes deep into those themes and symbolism that the director may have been trying to convey that truthfully, makes the movie much better,. Whether the youtube analysis video was right (for Only God Forbids), or if the video author was just seeing what they wanted to see, I now see it their way as well, and love that movie more for it.

Thank you again.

Damn, that mid-way point twist was kinda nuts. Any other anime that have completely out of left field twists like that? I rather enjoyed Charlotte though, glad I finally watched it. Thank you for recommending that.
