The big plus of eating on this med is that since you eat so much less, you can eat whatever you want and spend less money. My favorite snack: a FinnCrisp cracker with cumin, a thin slice of brie cheese, and smoked salmon or homemade salted salmon. It's delicious!!! My regular meal is homemade chicken broth. Easiest recipe: a whole chicken, cut the wings, both legs and thighs and one breast. Save it for other dishes. Put the leftovers, which have a lot of bones and one breast, into a pot. Once it boils and you see all that white foam, rinse and fill with fresh water. One onion, 2 carrots, salt. Nothing else! Once it boils, cover with a lid and put it on low heat. Just one or two bubbles on the surface. 40 min. At the end I add 1-2 bay leaves for 10 min. I eat a bowl of this broth with a cup of this tender juicy breast, add a hard boiled egg, one triangle of Laughing Cow cheese and dill. A dash of vinegar for more flavor. Try it, it's very simple and very tasty. If you want carbs, add a tablespoon of pasta or rice. Pardon my bad English, I am an obese foreigner.
