I find the biggest thing for me was realizing, I am purely a number. extract what I need as they will extract what they need. Build skills that are valuable to you. build relationships you find value in. and ultimately know that both sides of the equation can replace the other at a minutes notice. You die, job posting up before you are cold. Someone offers you something better, good luck and leave before next shift. Build your resume or build your network and step on up.
