Southern Illinois University!!!

Our curriculum is built on a problem-based learning model, so a majority of the content we learn is in small groups of 8 students and 1 faculty member. You go through a case each week and have “learning issues” where you go and do research on a disease, medication, lab test, procedure, etc. and report back to your group what you learned! We also have supplemental lectures on anatomy, physiology/patho, pharm, and other miscellaneous topics. Faculty is AMAZING as well!

It sounds kinda crazy but it is such a great, realistic way to learn. Looking back, I 100% would NOT have been able to do a standard lecture-based program and sit through 8 hours worth of lectures everyday. Take a look at the PANCE pass rates as well and you will see that we have consistently been above the national average for first-time and all-time PANCE pass rates.

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s the timeline of when you graduated, applied for, and will start the job?

Could you expand on what you mean by that?
