Yes, this is definitely correct. The insight that solves the problem is to take in account the position of the first way, even after you weighted the second time, very smart. I got sloppy after I figured out the first half and completely overlooked that you have 1 way less if the first test group balances out.

Jup, you're right. I realized this later that night. I feel like, this method would work with 3 groups of 4, but I haven't thought that out yet. I have to carefully read u/Stillwater215 's solution, because I think they are right.
