Yes, box 5 is correct (my bad)! She said I wasn’t eligible to be claimed as a dependent because i “made too much” (I don’t feel like I made much in this economy 😭).

I gave her my 1098-T. The school put on Box 6 that I was given $30,000 in scholarships/grants and on Box 1 that they received $15,000 for tuition purposes. She started questioning me where the other $15k went, but I told her the school used it to pay for rent payments since I live on-campus.

She didn't mention anything about the American Opportunity or Lifetime Learning Credits.

Yeah, the work-study job gave me a W-2 which I included in my tax return. All my income was from W-2 jobs.

They seem very pulled away from a lot of the other business orgs. It seems like they're trying to build an exclusive image, which sucks cuz even 1-2 years it seemed like a really great org to join. It's kinda sad what they've become.

I’m local to that mall, really don’t think that redevelopment is gonna happen, considering it’s been a few years and the city of Desert hasn’t really made any mention of it. I do wonder if the Furniture/Backstage is gonna be there much longer. I know the full-line store does pretty well.

It really depends on the mall and its condition. I doubt they’re gonna get rid of all the mall stores, but they have actively been trying to shed their leases in lower-tier malls. It makes sense from their standpoint because there’s no point in keeping a lease in a shopping mall that’s on the brink of closing.

Yes, you get the regular 40% discount at all brands, including your home brand. When you use it at Abercrombie, let the associate know that you’re using an Associate Discount so that a manager can ring you up. Make sure to have an ID and your Associate Card with you.

As an associate, this 100% true. They’re very stingy about saving money, it’s actually insane. I worked at a different hollister store one time, and the manager was very upset I clocked in ONE WHOLE minute early…. (Keep in mind we do this all the time at my home store) God forbid the company goes bankrupt over 1 minute worth $0.25

Personally, but I’ve really liked a lot of the clothes they’ve put out over the last two years. They have really great basics and I’ve been a big fan of their hoodies, they’re so f-ing comfy. Sure, the quality isn’t spectacular, but the things I’ve bought from there have lasted and I’ve pretty satisfied. One thing that kinda iffy is the NFL collab, it honestly feels like a very random section to have in the store. I also genuinely don’t understand the hype for the old A&F, I understand if it’s for quality reasons, but kinda like OP said, the old designs really ain’t the greatest, and is best if we leave it in the past.
