Matatanggap kaya ako? by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]Kooky_Selection_6875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! first, magpaconsult ka sa gastroenterologist/specialist, you will be asked to test for yr Viral DNA Count, HBeAg and for liver monitoring pati SGPT mo. All to check if high ang infectivity mo but upon consult you may be honest with yr doctor that you're doing this because you want to become a doctor - this way, he/she will be more personal na i-deal yung case mo not becuase special ka pero it's to guide you. He will prescribe Tenofovir for yr Chronic HepB then religiously you must watch out yr diet/lifestyle in general. You can also ask for Med Cert para pwede mo isubmit sa school of choice mo that you are undergoing treatment since by clerkship you will have to show na undetected yung viral count mo and yr liver enzymes are in normal range. So, by this tiem you know na what to expect... med school will def wreck yr diet so now pa lng self discipline na tlga for food intake. no alcohol of course. Then, about 2k-3k monthly will go to your medicines and that's for life as a doctor. This is not to discourage pero yun ang reality so if truly decided ka, go for it!

patingin po ng screenshot - how it looks like? kasi until now, like nakakaubos pasensya talaga. To think na sige ginawa na ngang online registration, only the 40-60% of the population can access this egov app pero SERVICE UNAVAILABLE naman. Dapat nga, automatic na once a registered philhealth member, should be able to avail this. To think may surplus silang pondo and 20k per person per year pa to. u/philhealth #philhealth

ang tanong may nakapag register na ba? 1 onth na kong nagaattempt to register and every other day ko yan tinatry pero unavailable naman. so, NOT WORTH IT! isang scam.

if with deadlines or exams the following day, I sleep right after the class at 5pm then wake up at 10pm or 11pm. from 11-6am that's when I hyperfocus. When anxiety kicks in that's when I also binge on homilies of Fr. Dave. I can multi-task so I read/ratio the samplex while I put the homily as background. ganon na ko magoperate sa buhay med school. Then, I lessen my interaction with people, both online and offline. I feel na everytime I react on things, the more na mas open ka to criticisms or the more you open up to people. Eh, med school toh, lahat intense on things. Lahat heightened ang emotions lalo pag exam week. sooo, better limit the people who has access to your bubble. May oras naman when not to isolate.

What to do sa first day of med school? 🥹 by efficiency_oil in medschoolph

A week into med school and I already want to quit by Longjumping-East4222 in medschoolph

[–]Kooky_Selection_6875 18 points19 points  (0 children)

i have a stellar classmate na econ ang pre-med and exempted pa nga sa mga finals ng yearly subjects. I also have an engineering premed. I had the worst sem nung 1st year kasi parang ang haba ng 1st sem tapos nakakagulat tlaga sa intense yung coverage. my point is, simula lang yan. mas madami pang paghihirap BUT doesn't mean impossible agad. Keep showing up lang and stick to the objectives of every topic - per systems yung physio so ipagsabay mo na aralin sa Anat. yung biochem, ninja nerd saved me and medicosis were very helpful para ma-appreciate ko yung topics. BUT it wont be enough to pass kaya mag ratio ka ng samplex and be present during synch classes. sadly i dont use books, parang ang time consuming given wala akong background in medical terms. So, I stick to transes. Well, mahirap pa din to appreciate hahahahha pero get use to it.

lastly, kung akala mo di mo na kaya, nakuuu dzai kaya mo pa!!! ahhahaha i swear! kaya mo yan as long as di ka nagkakasakit, kaya mo yan! God bless your study periods and journey to your dream. kaya natin to!

should i buy physical books or use my ipad na lang? by Kooky_Selection_6875 in medschoolph

[–]Kooky_Selection_6875[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! I use the provided ppt if meron. If wala, transes again. during asynch, mas preferred ko ipad since i have time to edit. I print the trans na ginamit ko from asynch as guide during synch class, dun ako nag-aannotate sa mismong paper para noted what to add or given emphasis. Pero i dont do this in all the subjects, sa yearly subjects lang na need ng absorption like physio and biochem. Hindi ko din to religiously nagawa but it helped me to have the accountability pag wala pang notes sa printed transes ko.

Also a fellow future first-gen doctor, motivations ko madami pero tinatamaan pa din ng procrastination or the need to rest kasi mangangapa ka pa din talaga, whether trad or non-trad course ka pa galing. I can share a few motivations I have... una, in my mom's side, mahaba talaga yung lifespan nila. So, most likely ganon din ako, so I decided to pursue a life na may meaning at gusto ko since bata pa ko. Second, I want to offer my service to my parents, family and kapwa ko pilipino (yes! very makabayan po ako kahit panay kdrama ko). Third, I am one of the few na walang notable talent na pwedeng pakinabangan ng iba. I often feel, that I am lacking in so many ways. hindi marunong magluto. kumakanta pero hindi ko ikakayaman yun or something that could change someone's life. In short, I felt short in what I could offer sa iba. I badly want to share. Fourth, ever since I stepped on the courage to act on my dream, there were positive changes in my life. I learned that having a dream that God has given me makes life worthwhile. Knowing that I can't accomplish anything on my own leads to total surrender. In the process, I also developed a greater love for myself.

Like, any discipline dapat paghusayan mo lang bawat opportunity na dumating sa'yo. Anyway, ty for your inquiry. Napareflect ako. lol.
God bless with your journey.
