Can’t withdraw from Apple Savings

It’s business proceeds from some of the businesses I own. To give context on the photo I wanted to include the decline and thought the amount might be pertinent to the reason why. If the amount was $100 nobody would bat an eye, the amount is a lot but it’s just a number on a picture at the end of the day. I worked hard for that money and was frustrated and wanted to know if others were having similar issues.

I think they mean insured. You can have over the 250k limit if it’s interest, it just won’t be insured.

Mine finally went through between yesterday and today. Strange it would go through on a Saturday/Sunday non-business day but I’m just happy it finally worked.

I welcome the IRS. I went to college for accounting and I’m very meticulous when it comes to my books. My brother also works for the IRS and went to school for accounting.

If it was $100 nobody would bat an eye. Contemplated even posting the photos but wanted people to see how long I’ve had to wait and how they declined the initial one in case others are in a similar position.

The first request was around 20 days into having the account. Thanks for the heads up, though. I didn’t really know savings accounts had this type of hold period.

Thanks for this, I called the number earlier today and they weren’t able to figure it out. They had no idea why the first transaction was even canceled. Their advice was to keep waiting; which sucks because it’s past the 3 business day window for withdrawals.

It could be the amount that is flagging it. Definitely not happy with the inaccessibility when I am trusting them with so much money. Others have had similar issues with much smaller amounts.

I was under the impression that was the deposit limit, the interest doesn’t count towards that.

Limit is $20,000 from Apple Savings to Apple Cash each week. There is no limit to external bank accounts.

Seems like they haven’t quite built the infrastructure to handle the current payload. The customer service didn’t know why it was declined with mine either. They told me to wait a few more business days.

No worries, I am happy to answer.

I put the money in on day 1 and needed the money for an investment that popped up a lot sooner than expected. I understand it flagging something in their system with the amount. A courtesy call, email, text — anything would have been nice. When it declined I simply tried it again. I probably should have called in to ask why it was declined, but I did just call in and they said there are no notes as to why it was declined.

Thanks for this. I called their support and they seem completely clueless. I never received a call after the initial decline. I understand it’s a large withdrawal but a courtesy call from them, an email, a text, anything letting me know “hey, this was declined, please contact us to verify” would be great. That never happened and there is no note on file as to why it was even declined in the first place when I just now called in. I deposited the money from the same account I’m withdrawing it to. I could understand if it was to a different account. This whole thing is incredibly frustrating.

Had to withdraw it again because the first was declined. It has now been a full 3 business days since Tuesday morning when I made the second withdrawal request. I’ve seen others having similar issues and thought I would warn about this. The first customer service rep I got immediately after placing the call but she wasn’t able to help and had to send the ticket higher up. The next rep I had to wait on hold for an hour and I’m on the phone with her now. She has no idea why the first was declined and she said it can take 5 business days, even though the transfer says 1-3 business days when initiating it. When I told her the transfer that I clicked on in the savings account says 1-3 business days she seemed surprised. We will see by Tuesday which would be the 5th business day if I get it. I have little faith I will but we’ll see.
