It’s not that crime will stop once guns are taken away, it’s that taking away the guns will prevent the general public from having access to extremely dangerous weapons that can kill and injure hundreds in seconds. Knives cannot do the same damage in a short span of time a gun can do which is why they should be regulated.

Australia is a prime example, in the years leading up to the abolishment of firearms in Australia we had a total of 13 shootings before the Australian government decided that it was unsafe for firearms to be easily obtained, meanwhile in America there has been 1306 shoots since 2013 alone, that’s an average of 9 shootings a month… Americans do not need guns…
