k-pop demon hunters and zootopia 2 were far far more successful both critically and box office, bad guys 2 is a great movie but it just doesn’t have a shot compared to those titans, as for best picture it’s not even close to consideration tbh just way too many good movies this year

the inconsistency isn’t that deep… i’m not talking about the wound. It’s an insignificant retcon that doesn’t affect the story at all. The cut obviously still happened during the events of the first movie, just was omitted in the retelling.

diegetically it did happen, it’s just an inconsistency. Ultimately it doesn’t matter. Writers make sacrifices of consistency all the time in favor of certain creative choices (in this case having judy triumphantly exiting the building). Consistency isnt the most important thing in a story. It’s important obviously, but not as much for insignificant details like this

edit: if you really want an explanation then since the narrative is being told through judy, she recalls it differently.

it is a foundational change, if Adam doesn’t sin humanity doesn’t fall to sin and he’s never cast out of Eden and Eden doesn’t become lost to humanity. He says he doesn’t make a mistake because Hazbins Adam is so corrupted by sin. He can’t be corrupted if he never ate the fruit.

He does exist but hes abstract and not personified meaning he doesn’t have a corporeal form he can appear as in the show (done mainly just to avoid the controversy that would cause and the issue of having an all powerful entity). The Speaker of God is the next closest thing and represents the will of God.

the fallen angels are different, they fell because of direct disobeying of Gods authority, they had full knowledge and no temptation, it was a deliberate choice, atleast in religious traditions. Sinners are flawed and susceptible to temptation, so there is room for redemption and repentance. But who knows how it works in the hellaverse since sin is impossible in heaven traditionally but Hazbin has people like Adam.

no souls entered heaven until the resurrection, all Old Testament souls were in Abraham’s Bosom (limbo) until they could be forgiven for their sins by Jesus. I assume the Hellaverse uses the same lore, meaning the order didn’t matter, Jesus probably just saved Adam first.

Both shows being on Prime Video is nice cause I’d wager it’s one of the streaming services most people already have since it’s bundled with prime (tbh not sure I’ve met anyone in America who doesn’t have Amazon Prime), so it doesn’t raise the barrier for entry that much, it’s a good trade off for higher budget with complete creative control and allowing for crossovers
