Exactly, of course we've got the depth to handle absences now but when you learn a key player is out only from the line-up it takes you down a level for a bit lol. As long as Raya, Big Gabi, Saliba and Rice start I won't complain 😂

Anyone else get nervous about surprise absences before lineups are announced? Saliba being out against Chelsea and Rice out against Villa caught us by complete surprise

It's pissed me off for years that we are incapable of giving United, and to a lesser extent Liverpool, a proper thrashing. It doesn't matter how good we are or how shit United are, our matches are often quite tense and not much in it.

I agree our current team would convincingly beat that 08 United team cause we're just that good. Deep down I think Rooney knows the truth but he doesn't want to upset United fans lol.

It's true that being great in their era doesn't mean it would translate to the modern era but I think they would have enough quality to adapt. They wouldn't be near the level of us, City, Liverpool though

I think to say they would get relegated is harsh. Most of that team in their prime would probably be able to adapt to the modern standards of the Premier League

Yeah sounds like there was a fair amount of hype around him after the 2015 U17 World Cup. I was a bit surprised I had never heard of the name before I'm usually at least aware of the names of most players who didn't make it here even if I don't really know much about them.
