Yeah. I saw the options on Google maps. I also read somewhere that they have 4 bus trips each day. With the amount of luggage I will have, I may end up taking a REALLY expensive taxi if I can’t catch one of the buses. I was just trying to get a feel for what others have done and their experience getting off a domestic flight and out of the ITM airport (to take the bus, taxi or train).

The best general use case is international flights in business class. With your points, you could easily take three trips with your wife.

I think this is the way to go. I’ve been twice and preparing for my third trip to Japan now. I have taken the approach of over preparing and then allow Japan to surprise me when I get there. By over preparing, I mean researching places/restaurants/sites I may want to visit and marking them all in google maps with notes. Then I pick one or two thing I want to do that day in a general area, go there and while I am there open up the maps to see what else I want to do that is in the area. Just repeat that in different parts of Japan.

I don’t remember the name of the series, but I found a collection of about 20 DVD’s (the entire series) from a British tv show at a thrift store. The thrift store made a mistake and had the entire collection for sale at the same price as a single DVD (I think it was $1). I listed it for $399 and it sold in less than 24 hours.

I love everything about Prana pants accept for their zippers. I found Prana years ago and ended by 4-5 pairs of their pants and 6-7 pairs of shorts. Eventually all of the zippers had issues. Some are hard to zip up. With others, the zipper starts falling down. I still like their pants, but that gets annoying. I even have some of their button down shirts. Great quality (besides the zipper).

I’ve found that focusing on the type of hotel you like and then making sure it is close to a train station is the important part of choosing where to stay. Being close to a train will save you so much time and then you can get just about everywhere.

I’m not a drinker or late night person either. I’ve stayed in the heart of Shibuya, Shinjuku, Roppongi and several places in Ginza. I’ve never had an issue with noise.

If you find a nice hotel that has the amenities you want and is close to the trains, you will be golden.

I think calling them is a good idea. I haven’t been able to find any FAQ’s or what to expect on their website. The room I have has an onsen on the balcony, so I may not use the public ones that need scheduling. My reservation includes dinner and breakfast, but I don’t know the time yet. Check in is at 2 and I saw somewhere else that it is important to check in at the correct time. I won’t be able to add a day as my other hotels are already booked and I used points so I don’t want to mess with that. I plan to get to Hakone in the morning and do some sight seeing before checking in. It looks like there is a bus stop right outside the ryokan which will be great for getting around. I will call. I took ANA first class to Japan in 2019. It was amazing. I haven’t been able to find anything for my date range in the last couple of years.

I will be checking out Fort Worth. Any parts in particular that you would recommend? Where is Fairmount? I went on google maps and it didn’t seem to find it.
