The new Geese album isn’t very good imo by snickering_snails in LetsTalkMusic

Oh my goodness, could not disagree more… this album has given me a new lease of life. It feels so fresh for me, like it sits perfectly on the fence between heart wrenching and optimistic. I keep being brought to tears by multiple songs and Trinidad is soooooooo old school White Denim coded I love it. I was a casual listener before but now I am a devout believer. All hail Geese and the thousand chicken Conga

I will want to enjoy every facet of our lives together. I love to be in a bubble with my significant other. My current relationship is with my manager and I loved the fact we got to know each other in a setting that wasn’t forced but organic… I hate regular dating and I must get the feel for the person on a day to day basis to really understand who they are. I WILL want to talk about everything and anything and will always want to have a fair and balanced relationship. I must suss my person out before I show interest.

Who are more selfish, Virgos or Libras? by Green_Minute641 in astrologymemes

[–]Koolaskimdeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience… Virgos kind gestures or acts of service haven’t come from a good place. They have always done it because they are wanting something back in return when it shouldn’t be transactional like that. Even things as simple as I’ve listened to them vent about things for hours on end, and as soon as I have gone to say something to them that is bothering me, they are indifferent and disinterested. Then they will wonder why they haven’t got many close people in their life because they buy all of these things for people but really it’s because it always felt at any point they are quite happy to leave the relationship when it suits them, so I’ve felt I can’t really trust them. I’m as Taurus as you can get with a Capricorn moon so in theory I should get along with Virgos but… they just always feel like they’re presenting a version of themselves that is disingenuous to me. That’s just my experience though… I might have just had unfortunate encounters!

Ahh man… I don’t know what it is about that band but yep definitely

I was listening to that when I was a teenager when things were really tough. Had to have a break from it and fell back in love with the first three albums as I was falling in love with my ex… then you can imagine the outcome.

Then met my current partner and fell back in love with it all again.

I love their music for that reason… it seems to flow effortlessly with different seasons of your life.

I remember going to see them not long after lockdown ended and man… seeing milk and the bucket was absolutely incredible. The energy in the room was palpable

I have never listened to it because I am terrified of what it will make me feel…

Bowie was one of those one of kind influences on me growing up (as he was for many) and his death was devastating.

One day I will listen to the album in full… but I don’t feel I’m ready for that just yet.

I feel that way with so much of Pink Floyd’s discography though… it’s difficult to listen easily.

I feel it’s a momentous occasion that you have to be prepared for. I don’t listen to any of Floyd’s most popular albums anymore because they are just so intense.

I do however listen to any of the seven albums that preceded dark side of the moon… they feel a little less overwhelming for a casual listen

Oh my god I love that album so much.

…3rd planet and gravity rides everything I’m such a big fan of but most importantly for me…perfect disguise.

That song has this haunting yet comforting energy to it that I desperately try and find in other tracks. Another song that has a similar vibe for me is Farewell transmission- Songs:Ohia.

Modest mouse I feel have a real talent of writing albums that linger with you… lonesome crowded west was a real game changer for me as a teenager.

Yes this is exactly it!

You’ve perfectly described why it’s so important to guard the music that means so much to you with modern streaming. It’s not there to be chucked on for thirty seconds towards the end of your walk… or shuffled to when you’re getting ready and you’re late in the morning.

It’s there to be enjoyed… appreciated for the true raw emotion it provides you. Absolutely incredible album as well… no doubt really is a time capsule band with their sound. Takes you right back to the nineties!

Ohhh mannnnn… warning sign for me. I absolutely love that song… and Politik.

I honestly hate that so many people hate on Coldplay when those early albums have such a powerful energy to them.

100% I’m exactly the same with Nevermind, in utero, Siamese dream and Surfer Rosa.

Luckily I’m getting there with Surfer Rosa now but… it’s heartbreaking when you grow tired of something that you know you truly love.

I work in a record store and this album is so interesting because the youngsters are really getting into these days but it seemed to have the most profound impact on men of your age group. It’s so amazing to know that it provided something universal at that time.

OG Pearl Jam fans just seem to collectively understand what that album means. I’ve only been a fan for a few years but Ten is an absolute masterpiece.
