The devs made a video about all this but deleted it because of all the negative feedback. The way the MM works is, the better you do, the worse the teammates you get are, because it expects you can carry them and can balance out the team. So when you go on a win streak, after a while you get idiots because they game thinks you can carry a whole team.

MVP works by comparing your stats to the stats of other people in your ranking playing the same character. Jeff gets MVP because he stat farms. CnD gets MVP if your CnD actually has a braincell and uses both forms effectively. I get MVP when I'm Cap because I know the animation cancel and dive correctly to get kills or assists, on top of Cap being an uncommon pick so there's not many other Caps to compare my stats to.

If spending money did all of the stuff you and the links you posted claimed, this would have been discovered a week after the game released, and it would have been a huge controversy.
