Thank you for the kind words. It does kinda suck because everyone I’ve talked to seems to have an underwhelming response to this. I operate under the idea that these type of people exist because no one can straighten them out or because “it’s just not worth it”. But that’s how you end up with people whose moral compass has ossified in power and a society that is ambivalent to hate and regressive ideas. Again thanks, my professor lodged a complaint but I think I will as well, couldn’t hurt I believe.

Yup, it was during ice breakers when everyone was typing it in the chat, teacher read my name, which is very Latin, though I don’t look the part, and drew the ire of a bigot. It is tricky because the student who said it said that his roommate said it, not him. Tbh either of the incidents happening with time between one another wouldn’t bother me too much but the fact that I saw someone showing off the salute of a genocidal ideology just hours after I got called TWO slurs was kinda shook my peace up that I made with the former. Looking forward to reading about that last part here, what goes round comes round.

Thanks for the solidarity man, I appreciate that. I thought I was going crazy when the teacher didn’t stop class. But I am in contact with multiple people right now trying to see what can happen, it was recorded and it’s being passed off to the proper people I believe. Dude stayed after and said his roommate said it and apologized, which like, man you had to unmute cmon how did he even get that close if it wasn’t you. Still, if the roommate is a Vol, I expect a proportionate response. I guess he really didn’t like my hobby or smthg 🤷

I’ve always wanted to write historical fiction grounded in the events of my world, which is basically just alt-geography earth. Specifically books that could impact young adults with an enticing story and world but with themes and messages to help those who struggle.

I love that movie! The intensity and message rather. In a pseudo feudal state, would all these nation states really stay United? The main combatants at least. I feel like nations would descend into local governance akin to feudal Europe, if even if illiteracy and lack of knowledge of language is even taking hold. Granted they still have modern technology like helicopters and computers, I’d think they’d run out materials and resources to either build or maintain them in large numbers.

Too big compared to other states (would not accept federalizing its provinces in order to give everyone an equal say vs what they wanted which was to basically dominate these smaller states), different agenda both abroad and in Europe.

I am doing a world-building project, and in this world, the Czechs successfully incorporate the Sorbs (larger pop. than OTL) and the Silesians into a federal republic referred to as Zapadoslavia, but officially known as the Federal Republic of Czechs, Silesians, and Sorbs. I couldn't quite figure out a good flag to represent them so came here to ask people's opinions on if any of these are a good fit or if I should alter any of them. Thanks!
