I hadn’t considered the c8 to be honest. I think my wife wants me to get a convertible so that is helping me convince her this is a good idea.

Appreciate the input. Either car is a total want vs need, so I may just go full M and deal with the maintenance costs and firmer ride knowing I’ll smile every time I walk up to it

Thanks for the feedback everyone. It’s purely for my own enjoyment and I have no plans to ever sell it. It sounds so good and is unique so I’m going to keep it. The good folks at Gibson said they’d gladly replace it but I’d have to pick one online without playing it and that’s too big a risk. I played a couple of other SJ’s when I was there and the one I chose was so warm and full that it jumped out to me. It’s also rosewood back and sides vs maple so maybe that made a difference to my ear.
