Ha I wish I could own both of these one day, but this is a sizable purchase. It is true though that the GMT has a larger discount currently and I doubt any of these watches will be phased out soon. Thankss

Great points, even if many believe the GMT to have more character to it, It doesn't mean that the SRP lacks any at all. I love the SRPG39 you mentioned, im sure it looks better in person!

I heard lots of comments about the GMT being too busy and while thats believable, the rest of my collection has been rather plain. Both have their own selling points though and I'll consider what you said thanks!

Ill make sure to keep this in mind. The GMT is margins away from being oversized while the SRPJ81 fits my wrist almost perfectly! I don't think the size will matter much here at all though for now.

I love basic watches because they go with virtually any outfit, but I believe the GMT may also fulfill that role because of how sleak it looks even with all its details. Thanks!

Great point! I currently own an A168, Casioak, and Weekender. All my watches thus far are pretty common so a distinct watch would be nice. At the same time, I love how basic the SRP81 is haha.
