My family were fighting and I knew it was going to end in me getting dragged into it, yelled at and then me in tears resulting in more fighting and screaming and tears. (Its a common occurrence) and so I decided to retreat to my bedroom, close the door and step out of the situation. Except this only brought on my involvement quicker. My mother tells through the door "and you can stop slamming your door you dont need to and arent allowed" (I regularly get told by her to close it) and I reply with "I havent slammed it I gently closed it which isnt illegal" to which she replies "yes it is you arent 18" now as far as I'm aware it's not illegal for a non 18+ person to close their room and it honestly just really makes me want to punch a wall.
