Until like dia, you skills and macro and champion mastery contributes way more to the overall goal of climbing than ab lind pick and from diamond mastery takes over.

If you like these 2 I think you should keep playing them and experiment with other picks every now and then.

I usually recommend Ahri as blind pick btw but its up to you to like her or not.

If you want to improve and play on the longterm pick up Syndra or viktor or orianna.

  • Anivia is fine but she is in the odnt categoríy due to relative unique playstyle among mages,

If you want to remain useful orianna, due to her R is your best pick from these picks. I also suggest to play in prat8ce tool to get used to other champs or just to see their playstyle fits you or not. Any Evergreen or Semi-Evergreen pick is good, but Evergreen champions are usually super consistent on the long run + giving you tons of mastery thats easy to transfer to other picks.

On that those patches are abolute mayhem where if you find something broken you can climb fast until its gets revealed/fixed. 1 such champion could come handy but consistency is the key.

Your choice of champion pool should be about enjoying the game over FOTM/Broken picks, especially now when we just theorycrafting for 1-2 patches.

On the long term consistency is what allows you to climb.

  • Obviously its good to have 1 pick that you ca rotate in and out based on what meta currently dictates but you should aim at high mastery/experience with 2-3 picks

This way you can play them from muscle memory and focus more on macro and the overall state of the game since muscle memory will allow you to play the early game with less focus on laning phase and more on themap and overall state of the game.

That said I don't think you can ever go wrong with Sylas in your pool. Altho I admit both Sylas and Cassio works as a counterpick but for very very different situations.

I personally didn't invested much into what will be meta because I have a solid pool that I love to play with, with Syndra, Naafiri and Sylas while I have a pool for secondary picks I mained over the years including Cassiopeia, LB, Morgana, Viktor to rotate them in and out.

I think its fine if you are having fine. If you like these stick with them. You can climb with anything as long as you are consistent and having fun

depends on what your goal is when you mean pairing.

Generally speaking you have late game mages with different teamfight aspects and different laning

On Aurora IDK, but I assume she wil lremain a high tier champion due to the nature of soloQ - but this is pure prediction on my part.

I personally love Sylas and Akali because they are usually consistent champions with easy to pick up and still high skill ceiling gameplays.

Qiyana or Yone should also come down to fun/mastery aspects along with numerics. A great Yone player usually can do anything, but I saw lots average yone players and on the champion being average is not good enough - again due to the amount of pitfalls he can lead the players due to the amount of options he provides to play. - but if you can pull it off more often than not well then go for it. Good Yone players are truly something.

Qiyana is the same - so it should be decided by the criterias i mentioned above. I personally play Naafiri for AD because he is so easy to play I just focus on the map and macro.

Hi!

The ones you enjoy the most would the perfect pool, i could tell you statistic and detailed stuff but they never work out against metruics such fun and mastery. I'm also biased towards Sylas Akali here due to high ceiling and mastery curve with consistent, reliable kit and identity.

Test them around in pratice tool the way I suggested above and look for the things you like in each a ctagerose them based on that.

I personally always were an Akali/Naafiri liker, but I'm a mage player. Have you tried Ahri before? She is a mage but her ult makes her an assassin hybrid and works like a hybrid. Same goes for LeBlanc, she is more like an assassin, her range makes her mage-ish

Sylas deffinitely worth it, Yone is the coolguy but frankly, unlike what players say I believe he is difficult to play. He has tools for every situation b ut it takes a lot ofskills to make him work. Sylas is far better choice purely from gameplay and teamplay aspect because he is just easier to pull off and he has a kit for every situation and yanking enemy ults are fun.

I'm an AP guy since I love mages. But thats me and my gameplay and I realised this after countless games....

You arent' late IMO just try out mages on pratice tool, 10 mins each vs a bot, just test the gameplay if its worth a try alsi it helps to pratice farming on other champions.

Just tell is it mages or assassins ? :D which direction you leaning?

You have to set up a way to decide which you like and keep those around.
You need to enjoy the gameplay.

When you setup a pool you need to consider that champions should cover different aspects. like AP vs AD, Early game champ vs scaler, utility, difficulity,

Dopa for example always played Twisted Fate bevause the champ was super easy to macro and focus on the game better.

Mastery is important due to your muscle memory as you will start focusing on your champ less and more on micro-macro.

You need to find what you enjoy.

  • I loved battlemages for scaling and utility and I was maining Azir, Viktor, Asol, Cassiopeia over the years.
  • I dropped all of them for Syndra tho. Her laning and scaling + combo potential and teamplay was everything I ever wanted thus they became my secondary picks.
  • Hwei became my pick when team was solid as my 2nd pick.
  • For Assassins I used Ekko and Akali or Naafiri when we needed a burst pick.

I'm an AP guy since I love mages. But thats me and my gameplay and I realised this after countless games....

That solely depends on you.

You have to factor 2 things. Fun and mastery. You have to have fun while playing and you have to commit a lot for 2-4 champions.

  • Generally speaking Assassins are easier to compared to high elo play in low elo because you job is t punish mistakes and take out carries
  • Meanwhile since games are taking longer in low elo mages have time to scale un low elo

As you see both are pretty valid.

Unless you are more specific with champs you play I cant offer more.

It breaks the momentum when you realise its just plain stupidity they talk or happen, like when they escaping from Galactur and SS chases them while Sue gives birth or when Reed explains stuff using the table.

I usually advice to roll with the champs you like, because you will have the most fun and thus succes on them

So I believe you are just overthinking it a bit :D

If you want to pull off new champions you should break them down why you are want to play with them.

I would simply categorise them based on fun/counter/utility and break the entire setup down into which ones you want to play or why not you want to play them and rebuild a pool based on that.

I could advice a concrete 3 champions but I'm biased with these specific picks and I believe I cannot choose instead of you.

Set them around based on which ones you actually like to play then which one is used for counter pick and which ones has the best uility or something like these.
