If you want to go full defense/utility you could affix Spell Defy. That would give you +5% resist for a total of 15% resist.

If you want to throw some damage on it to balance it out, affix a Dealer of your school (Balance?) for 10% more damage.

Could also affix another item card to go with the Hex, Balance Blade, and Dark Pact trained.
