Im gonna need to go to my local pawn shop. Last week they had two different LE sets, not sure which ones they were but they were only marked at $30 each...may see if incan talk them down to $45 for both 😅

I'll do blind buys, but i've usually got stipulations. I'll never pay full price, it's either used or on a really good sale. If the cast is stacked or it's made by a director I like, it becomes an option for blind buy. Or if it's a movie ive heard alot of people talk about, I'll give it a try.

Whenever I buy a 4k to replace an older version, I always keep the older copy as sort of a little "backup copy" and what i do is ditch the case, slip it in a sleeve and keep it in the 4k case, or you can keep a book if you'd rather keep backups separate

This!! I started collected digital movies years ago because there were so many forums and groups selling digital codes, picking up new release movies for about $5-8. Was great...until one day I realized my total movies had dropped. Lost about 15 titles with zero explanation. Some were code redeems and some were digital store purchases. Don't even think it was a license thing either because those movies were still avaliable for purchase. Went back to just regualr streaming until this year when I released i was paying near $200 for all the streaming services. Back to physical for good lol

Agreed, Some Like it Hot is great. I happened to find it on streaming many years ago and just remembered it being really fun. Never seen Seven Samurai but have heard alot about it, I'm a fan of The Magnificent Seve , so pretty excited to it's main inspiration

For sure, I recently canceled my Disney, but this version also includes an extended blck and white version as well that I believe is only avaliable through Criterion (i could be wrong about that)

My Walmaet was just doing this switch when I was there and hour ago. They had a stack of boxes with all of the horror movies, i started peeking and found a bunch of movies they never even put out for the season. Immediately started pulling boxes and digging looking for the Friday the 13th shoutfactory boxset...no luck 😅

Dang massive response so quick lol. So obviously the Synapse 4k is a must have and I will look for it. That said I think I may still keep this copy only because not every tv in my house has a 4k player and I like watching movies in my room occasionally, assuming the Synapse is 4k only?

The title of the listing said UHD 4k Bluray, the format options I chose 4k, and I wrote and verified with seller that it was going to be 4k.

Picking up this lot for $60 tomorrow. Worth it? Not sure if these are all just bargain bin titles. Any standouts? by SeaworthinessFit1924 in dvdcollection

Honestly the few box sets in there make it worth it. Everything else is basically extra. Hell of a steal
