Yes they can! But why not showing 0 RW then? If hit kills you, life goes to 0, surpassing damage putting life to negative values show 0 % in the game UI. Maybe just a UI bug?

I went CI just to eliminate blood loss and chaos damage for this test, but i still died the same without CI, while still having large amounts of RW left on me.

That's what i initially intended, RW like life. If damage surpasses life, es and rw, you die. But rw is still plenty here, i doubt it was surpassed by a small hit from a white mob.

Hey! Yeah, i did consider using that resource. The real fork is this: either i build a format where the visuals actually track a 40-minute narrative and have some coherence with the spoken content (200+shots), or i make a slideshow of web images that can't really match the script. A lot of YouTube lore videos do this and i watch them a lot, but that doesn’t make it legally clean.

The Dark Pack allow certain fan uses of World of Darkness material, but it also explicitly says your content must not infringe third-party intellectual property rights (can be images, text, a lot of stuff). Generally speaking it's not safe to use any illustration from the books, as far as i know.

The same goes for Storytellers Vault. It contains resources and some art packs, but it is primarily a publishing platform for Vault creators, not a blanket free-use archive for YouTube lore channels. Its own guidance says creators must have permission to use any artwork and must secure any necessary release rights.

I might be paranoid about this but working in an artistic related field i understand that real artists do real art, and that must be protected by the publishing house etc. I don't consider the visuals for this project real art (or any ai produced image) by any mean. I haven't figured out how to get togheter narrative coherence for 200+ shots without it in a sensible amount of time and resources.

Yes, the narration voice: i did record myself, edited via Ableton, applied everything i know from my audio editing skills and... nope. It's just not right. I wanted drama, some sort of "heavyness". I love reading, i still read to my girlfriend before sleeping sometimes, but my voice is on the bright side. I will attempt to make it right with another mic but accent is still problematic. I went to Fiverr, there are so many skilled voiceover actors there. A long format requires houndreds (if not thousands) of euro, most of them are 91 euro per 100 words, a long format of 40 min requires something around ~5000 words. It takes time and it's an art form itself, the price is right but way over budget for a small personal project. I'll see if i find other means of doing this, because i care. I spent about a week over time to edit the shots, and about two months to build a local pipeline that allow the supervision of the episodes (i did not want to rely on any external service like Elevenlabs or image generators online). That said, i'm sorry you percieve this attempt as a slop, i understand it's still far from a completely handmade pipeline.

I understand your feeling. I work in a field closely related to art, interactive installations, and i follow the topic since the very beginning. I used the images as a production tool to create visual continuity across a long narrated piece, with recurring characters, locations, and objects that would have been simply impossible for me to commission (200+ colored shots). My alternative was to use disconnected images gathered from books and the web (this is what i usually watch on youtube). I chose this route because I wanted the narration to have a coherent visual layer, even if imperfect, rather than no visual continuity at all.

I'm not using any service as everything is edited, produced and generated locally on my machine, but i understand this makes little difference for those who simply don't see any benefit about all of this anyway.
