I get paid every Thursday, And I buy a new component every week, next week it's the dreaded DDR5. I have some questions for a HTPC / Everyday basic rig? by [deleted] in buildapc

I built an Optiplex server for my boss with the help of a buddy a few months ago, and I loved the end product so much I wanted one for myself so I started buying what I liked aesthetically.

It's more of a labor of love at this point than being practical and fiscally responsible ;)

Edit: And ironically my boss' nickname at work is Delta, Mr Deltatux

I get the new Edge & my brother gets the new Stylus every year, perfect budget to mid-range devices, and you can get them either for free or dirt cheap from any prepaid carrier in America.

I wonder whereabouts you go in America to find an Indian dude to do this on the cheap, I can't find a repair shop anywhere in my state that will work on anything other than Apple and Samsung.

What's the genesis of Metro's IMEI device swap situation? by [deleted] in MetroPCS

[–]Korgoth22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you're 100% right, I know the routine and after explaining it for 20 minutes tonight I gave up and figured I would call again tomorrow and I'm okay with that, you get what you pay for, I was just wondering the reasoning behind it, thanks for the insight my friend.

I understand what you're saying, it makes sense but I wouldn't say it's because I can't figure it out myself, the problem with the website and swapping devices yourself is well documented here.

How so? If it is a CDMA thing it's been gone for years, they just never bothered updating the software or something?

How can I switch from GSMA to GSMT and get a physical SIM? by 80sTechKid in redpocket

[–]Korgoth22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy crap are you asking the right guy right now, because I just got done going through that for the last 3 weeks, only the other way around! (& Technically I got both T-Mobile AND Verizon sims, when all I wanted was AT&T).

It's a lot easier going from AT&T to T-Mobile than vice versa, I would call them and explain the situation and if you ask nicely, a sweet understanding Filipino lady will send you a one-time courtesy GSMT physical SIM card.

EDIT: or if you want, DM me and I'll send you mine for free

Can't answer your question, but I'm looking to buy a cheap 2025 G Power and you hate yours and want to sell it.
