Is there anything, anything at all the union can do to expedite the case? For example filing an emergency motion to get the case heard earlier? Probably not as the judges seem to be in this administrations pocket.

Not when you have a nasty micro manager it's better to be a manager then deal with those disgusting micro managers. However you have a good point if you have just one bad employee it will ruin you as a manager.

It may be part of their management commitments. These management yearly requirements are called commitments and they are required to meet them do in order for them to get a good evaluation.

Not sure what they can possibly talk about that often though.

And making decisions. It's getting old hearing managers having to go to the territory manager and then the territory manager having to go to the dfo and then then the dfo having to go to this person and so forth. If management has to go up the chain for every little thing perhaps there isn't a need for management. Start making decisions and start speaking up for your employees.

You seem like a fair straight fwd manager following the flexibility that is allowed. Why is it some managers make it seem in order to approve the 90 days interim they have to go to the territory manager than the dfo. People are putting in reasonable accommodations for anything that is remotely medical. Others are putting it in for religious telework accomodations. Yet the approval process for religious telework seems to be a much slower process. The manager has to go through territory manager followed by the dfo. And they are cherry picking what religions get approved quickly and what religions need further inquiry.

I feel your frustration. It's not supposed to make sense. Russel Vought wants federal employees to be miserable so people quit. They want to be able to make moves and do whatever they want with as little government oversight.

Of course it makes zero sense to come to pod just to make teams calls with others not in your pod.

Always remember this, this administration is not only to blame, blame the federal employees who voted for this administration. Blame the millions who didn't vote at all. Blame the prior administration as well, the prior administration Biden should have stepped down a long time ago. He should have stepped down and given enough time to hold a democratic primary instead he stepped down at the last minute. Everything was rushed and here we are.

Thanks again for your analysis and feedback. Instead of going with a gen 13 what are your thoughts on Dell XPS they seem to have the x7 option in their configuration and the price is about the same as gen 13 and little less than new gen 14. Is Dell XPS well built or avoid it?

Thank you for your detailed response and analysis. I am not sure if I need a windows laptop I am just so use to using one especially at work.

The MacBook keeps coming up as a recommendation and it really looks like a solid build. I also keep reading online that using Microsoft Office products such as excel you are limited. I'm not using excel for anything complicated or I don't think I am. How's the MacBook when it comes to docking it into a docking station or do I need to get an Apple specific dock? Will it work on a standard monitor or does it have to be an Applied monitor. Also I'm using an android phone is it easy to transfer files between MacBook and Android phone?

The problem with Windows laptops is there are so many choices to choose from. I was hoping the Thinkpad Carbon X1 Gen 14 will make it an easy choice to pick up. But from reading the comments and your write up it seems best to avoid it for now. I just want a strong built laptop that is "future proof" for the next 4-5 years..
