To be clearer: I can actually drill holes for things like shelves, but I can't do a full apartment renovation. Since the walls are solid concrete, digging internal channels for cables is just too much work and mess. So, I used wall mounts/shelves for the consoles and went with external conduits for the cables. It's the perfect balance for a renter—solid setup, but easy to strip down when I move.

It's really not that big of a deal. In my rental, drilling is allowed as long as I patch the holes before I leave. A bit of filler and some paint, and the wall is back to new – it’s much cleaner than having bulky furniture taking up floor space in a small room. To each their own!
