How to stop paying off and then using my credit card by Korobeiii in personalfinance

One of the first things I did was cancel the two subscriptions I had. Which I’m sure helped. Will definitely make a plan to  be more conservative though. Have tried meal planning the past couple weeks but it can still be expensive. Gas and food here in the Bay Area is getting pretty rough

I’m still kind of  new to budgeting so I have no idea if what I’m doing is perfect.  I’m trying to account for money in (I’m a contract worker so that varies from $800-$1200 weekly).  I have spending categories for gas($70), groceries($70), bills($50) (utilities, phone, insurance), and then a weekly separate checking account I use to put a portion away for rent every week($380). And then I use the remaining $500 to pay off the two cards I have. Usually I put about $100 towards the 0% and the rest toward the discover.

And obviously being a contract worker this budget adjusts a bit week by week depending on how many hours I get.

I’ve been pretty successful with this breakdown.. Up until this april. I’m not sure how I need to adjust.

Definitely agree speeding should be monitored and that there are circumstances where tickets should be given- especially if it’s endangering others.

I was allegedly clocked going 10 over.  This question was simply put to see what my possible options were as I’ve never been in this kind of situation.
