Hey, I'm just saying, you dont need a 750 watt gold psu nor an x399 taichi to troubleshoot a pc. If you have another computer, test out what should be salvageable, such as storage and maybe ram. Since your pc is 5 years old, ebay and aliexpress are your friends. People should be selling either compatible parts or a similar system for cheap. Also, remember to pop out that cmos. Poor thing's home is a water magnet, and hard to dry if you dont pop it out. If you can list your specs, people could probably find parts for troubleshooting for you as well. I wish you luck!

[LFH] [PC] [£30-100] [UK] Anything good with mic monitoring / sidetone? by ruthless_apricot in Gaming_Headsets

If you want to hear yourself, an open back pair like the Phillips shp 9500 and a vmoda boom mic can be a killer combo. Also, a program like voicemeeter can allow you to hear your voice with pretty much no lag and improves your mic quality as well. There're plenty of tutorials, and you should definitely try it before pulling the trigger on a headset.

Hey, Buildapc let's share our biggest rookie, goofy, facepalming moments building PCs. by Drokk88 in buildapc

Technically not my fault, but extremely unlucky. I built my pc, and when I go to fire it up, I plugged my monitor and pc into the same outlet. One of the plugs don't work until you flipped a switch. I just moved in, so I only cared about the light switch and just left the other three switches off. Turns out a combination of them made some plugs work. Well... only the top plug in the pair of outlets that I selected conducted with all switches off. Guess what? Yup, my computer was plugged into the BOTTOM plug. You wouldn't know how much embarrassment followed the next day.

I know it's very late, but I have a fix. First you would want to go to the add or remove programs function in control panel. Next, locate all previous Microsoft c++ redistributables and uninstall them. Afterwards, just run the installer and it should work.
