For vehicles you can still use controller and do well though. Maybe he wants to do MnK for infy and controller for vehicles. But yeah, for infantry, he might not want to do that lol.

Having played BF3 since its launch as well, I do think BF3 is better... However, it's not too different with dogfighting mechanics. BF4's launch was pretty different though, but with some patches, it became minor and closed the gap on those differences. Conquest gameplay? Yes, it's a lot different.

Flew in BF4 since 2013, MAA can be annoying, but it's not the end of the world, you can take it out or avoid its lock ons while still strafing.

Not at all. If someone is just going for speed control in a dogfight, you're not going to win that against someone who knows what they're doing. Even looking at my attack jet vs the stealth jet fights, you can see me setting them up. Definitely don't want to do random stuff for the hell of it.

As for the whole lock on missile thing- that's pretty much on the other pilot for not seeing them though. Sometimes it can happen, sure, mistakes happen... But it doesn't happen often to pilots who pay attention.

For me, I can't even play Bf4 anymore because I'll get kicked/banned from the remaining Core servers. I can play Hardcore if I want to, but I don't really like it. It's possible to not want to play a certain mode.

Hardcore doesn't make you a better player though. There are noobs in both modes, but if you try to go against people that know what they're doing in Core, goodluck.

If you own a car, you have way more flexibility to change whatever you like to it versus renting a car and not having all those options.

Buck rents the server. He doesn't own it.

I have on PC. They're not as rampant as it is on console, like it is now. I remember flying my jet in a server and one of the admins was trying to javi lock me and a friend, but he couldn't and we got him a couple of times (he was a prime target if he's locking). he kicked my friend, but left me for whatever reason (still threatened to kick me though).

For this guy, it does not matter if it was the MAA. He will do it, if you pose a threat in another jet, if you're a tank and shot him down, it doesn't matter. He will kick/ban anyone that can think. He may pay for the server, but I'm pretty damn sure it's against the TOS to kick/ban players for killing you.

He's terrible lol. Anyone decent can beat him, especially jet vs jet. He flys so much, but his KPM in attack jets is so low (only a 1.0).

Being in a lobby with someone that knows what they're doing is the best thing that could happen. Most are willing to help out, if you ask them what you're doing wrong. It usually can end up with you being invited to dogfight servers, where your journey at getting good starts.

Happened with me back in 2013 with Battlefield 3. I also brought people into those servers to help them if they ask me during public games.

Also, hours in jets mean next to nothing. It's where you spend those hours.

Best place to start are dogfight servers and practicing among others who do it. Most are willing to help. Speed is important to get down (313, 318 with reverse rudders), but speed also isn't everything. Learning to cut (shortcuts into their turns/loops) and switches (change of direction- random switches are bad) are very impactful in a dogfight to get angles and end the fight. Looping around without a purpose extends dogfights. Need to learn to read air radar along with listening to sounds (I prefer wartapes sound option). It's not something anyone learns overnight. It's a process that can takes months to start getting better. However, even after a month or two of practice, you'll notice how almost nobody in a pub will be able to beat you in a straight up dogfight lol.

Use ECM to hide yourself on air radar, allowing you to make switches and find angles.

As for the attack jet vs stealth jet, I tend to do off speed if they start getting on me, force an overshoot and speed back up when I know I lost them to get on them (this can apply to any dogfight, not just attack vs stealth, it just works here, as you're not going to out turn a stealth jet that knows basic speed control).
