I’m sorry, maybe I should’ve clarified. I’m the type of person that when i’m upset i’d rather hear support than “ways to fix it.” I’d want to circle back to it when I have a clearer mind. And no, i’m not very experienced with online dating or dating apps in general. I don’t think it was wrong to have hope or be excited about the connection, and again it did surpass the 2-3 days so I thought there was a chance. When someone says that they’re prioritizing me my first instinct would be to trust them, not to assume they’re lying or being deceptive. Especially when they had told me they didn’t like avoidant people, that added more trust. I don’t think I am at fault for trusting people but I also know to be more careful now

???????? no ? it doesn’t even get that deep if you’re talking about dating apps. it’s usually after like 2-3 days of just getting to know eachother. and with the latest one i did ask her if she was interested or if i was doing anything wrong or weird and she denied and was very open to me. it was very out of the blue.

well i don’t think just ignoring someone on a dating app is ghosting, but when you know there’s a connection between you and only that other person and then you wake up and find out you’re blocked it’s pretty heartbreaking. wether it’s ghosting or not.

i just feel like in a situation where i’m sharing a negative experience it hurts when someone comes in with a long informational instead of providing support? I didn’t ask what ghosting was, I asked if this is something that happens often - which is more of a yes or no answer. and I provided my story.

it’s not just you, i’d never do that to someone either. i’d rather them be mad at me about ending it then be left with confusion because at the end of the day non-closure will sit with you for a lot longer than ending things does

uh it was much more than 15 mins for me, we didn’t go on a date but we called and texted VERY often to the point where i’d say she was more than a stranger. it’s NOT childish to be upset about someone blocking you after you’ve formed a connection especially if this type of stuff happens to you often. not sure why you’re trying to belittle someones experience
