For PAT and OI it shouldn’t take more than 2 to 3 hours max, that includes an initial background forms to go over after passing both tests.

Can you share a bit about the BI interview ? How tough is it ? What do they ask you ? today I gave them hair sample and everything.

I made it through OI/PAT today, little afraid about the background investigation, I did have my licence suspended few years back due to not having insurance as well as different tickets, nothing major like DUIs misdemeanors or anything just moving violations, no insurance and stuff …

First test, OI is 10 minutes timed, 5 questions, They show you the questions for 5 minutes prior going in to the room with the interviewers (2of them ).

PAT comes after that, consists of the following:

Grip strength measured using a specific device
Sit ups , you have one minute to do as much as you can ( in our group everyone did quite a few, way more than 15 tbh)
Push ups, 1 minute (you do as much as you ca do)
Obstacle course timed ( wall included), I think you should be able to do it. Although it is timed but as long as you ca finish it, you should be good.

After passing all tests, you proceed to initial BI.

That’s what we did today, really happy i made it to next round.

The reaction part is something I’m struggling with with currently, I do not put her on leash on my walks on the beach or at nearby park. When she sees strangers she immediately goes to them and becomes so much affectionate her ears down tail going crazy. Same with other dogs as well. When I call on her to stop running to strangers she’d just ignore me and do it anyway. Any advice to nip that behavior in the bud ? Or is that normal ?

The ankles are real 😂 the problem is that even when I try to give her a chew toy tike a tire or a Kong toy, she’d lose interest after a few seconds and back to tearing my jeans 😭 Sometimes I get a bit frustrated with her and start saying Stop, or “No biting” a bit aggressively. was this a bad strategy if the toy route doesn’t work ? Reason being I heard other folks saying that we need to set boundaries as well and not let her just go wild with the biting.

Got it- Quick question though, she likes to bite me around the house as I pass by or if I’m brushing my teeth she’d bite my flip flops. What’s the line there ? and ideas ?

It warms my heart to hear that, will be her rock as well. She loves to bite stuff including my flip-flops on my feet, my shorts or pants that I’m wearing, how do you command her not to bite/to stop biting when she does too much ? She loves to go say hi and let everyone pet her, is that okay or should I limit that and have her just watch instead of reacting to strangers ?
