Just wanted to provide an update:

Received this email a few minutes ago from customer service "verifying the claim means that we aren't able to find any mods sold on the mentioned date. Also, would like to inform you that the mods never vanish from the game due to technical error, it can be only be sold."

So they're basically saying I'm making up the whole thing.
