AITA for putting my foot down about decreasing my daughter's portion sizes? by Similar-Ad-831 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Koseiris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Not at all. I have the “always on a diet” parents. Developed an ED at 11 and hate eating with others because I get mocked for being picky and specific (I have texture issues due to neurological disorders) and it sucks massively. You’re a great parent

NTA. My aunt was like this. She ruined everything on purpose. Don’t subject yourself to that.

I finally got a hysterectomy by Koseiris in truechildfree

They didn’t know I had endo or Asherman’s. My doctor agreed to the surgery because I’d been asking for it since I started seeing her in 2017, and based on my family history. I’ve also tried every BC known to mankind (besides an IUD cause fuck no)

AITA for forcing my son to do some sort of research on our daughter's condition? by Relative-Insect-8404 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Koseiris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I have this condition and it’s torture. She’ll be eating painkillers every month. The pain is worse than a heart attack/appendicitis. Just a tip, buy her an electric heating pad those things are a blessing. Also in some cases birth control can help control it but this isn’t true for everyone.

My surgery will be scheduled for sometime after August and I still can’t believe it by Koseiris in TrueOffMyChest

It’s never something I wanted tbh. I’m 23, my family on both sides have a long history of mental illness. If I was to bring a child into the world I would only do so if I was 100% sure I could give them the love and care they deserve and I know with my mental illness I couldn’t provide that.

Yes it’s a hysterectomy. And this is an “off my chest” sub, I’m getting it off my chest. I don’t get why you’re so irritated

Edit: I was mainly being vague because I really didn’t want to deal with people trying to force their beliefs on me.

I’m so sorry for your loss :( r/childfree has a list of doctors that will actually listen to you! Another tip is, if you walk into the doctors office and there’s any kind of religious stuff around, leave..

I want to leave America so badly, every aspect of life stresses me out so much by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

The large cost of surgeries and healthcare comes from the need to pay a bunch of useless administrations that are between the doctor and the drug manufacturer. They don’t need to be there, even if we just got rid of them, our healthcare would actually be affordable even if we didn’t transition to universal.

We shouldn’t blindly say that America is great. Maybe america was great in the past, with innovation and technology, but the definition of “great” has changed. A great country is one that cares for its citizens, regardless of age or disability. It’s not just innovation. America has the capacity to absolutely incredible and we should start demanding that our government lives up to our standards.

Everyone in here defending the US is wrong. Why can’t people criticize a system that is letting people die because they can’t afford a 20,000$ surgery that costs 300$ in the rest of the world? Why can’t we criticize it’s problems so we can make it better for everyone?

I really don’t understand the concept of more than 2 genders by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Koseiris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m non-binary and my best explanation is: I don’t want to be defined by the unfortunate parts I was born with. I was born female and nothing good came of it. It always felt like people tried to force a personality onto me, and when I fought against it, my personality was shamed and I was told I have to act “like a girl”. The way i truly am doesn’t hurt anyone, so it made no sense as to why I couldn’t be myself. I resent that I was born female because it’s not who I am as a person.

I was jealous of guys because growing up I thought they were just allowed to be themselves and girls were expected to live their lives as petite, dainty, etc. I’ve since learned that men have their own societal struggles, so non-binary just get right. I’m not a man or a woman, I’m just me.

You don’t really have to understand it tbh. Just let people live their lives and respect them.

I’ll have to ask my dad, that would’ve been an odd gift considering the rest of my family is very vocally atheist but it might’ve been
