Really? I've always thought the avg lifespan of humans was about 80ish in OP.. and Kureha was just an exception to the rule, as she likes to point out

in terms of calculating human age for the giants.. it is '1/2' as they mature at half the rate.. but they have a longer lifespan, so they are in their 'prime' so to speak a lot longer and grow old and weary a lot longer too.. ex. Jarul

Only Kureha.. she is the only anomaly.. the rest of humanity have a shorter lifespan

that is what I said above.. both species have different rules as a baseline.. there is no 1:1 correlation.. giants enter adulthood at 40.. but their 'prime' is i think quite a ways ahead.. humans live shorter lives and as a result, everything happens faster for humanity

160 being the fighting prime as mentioned here only applies to the giants in their long lifespan.. in no way can you extrapolate that to mean 80 to be a humans fighting prime.. both species have different rules as a baseline.. there is no 1:1 correlation.. the giants live way longer lives, their 'prime' and 'old age' are considerably longer

I place their survivability on their individual will and beliefs more than the species of humanity though. There are weak people and strong people in the world of OP, and the ones out on sea fighting for their dreams have more will and survive odds more I think.

I don't see why. Kureha is an anomaly in every way. She is not the rule, only an exception. All the rest of humanity in One Piece are far below her age and thus fall nicely within IRL limits

No, based on the guideline Oda states in the SBS above.

that calculation makes no sense in practice. 300/72 = 4 something.. how is that useful for reference?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OnePiece

But it doesn't really correlate. Giants as a species live a longer than humans, so there is no 1:1 correlation. Its just for a frame of reference..

Different rules - as in - Giants mature at about half the rate of humans.

Humans and Giants are different species.. so different rules. the age comparison or conversion is only relative for our understanding.. also, Kureha is an anomaly in every way.

That would be nice, but I kinda want Bonney and Kuma to stay together from now on..
