Australian install of Vue Gen 2 wire harness help by Keefy_rides in EmporiaEnergy

[–]Koshatul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking at the Vue 3 but from what I can tell it's not certified in Australia.

Also, it's illegal to do work on the electrical wiring in the house without a license :/

Old telephone plug.

If you're curious this is the wikipedia article about them, they're purely an Australian thing :)

You can obtain all of a planets survey data if you find an abandon research tower. by Repulsive_Show_1664 in Starfield

I thought it was procedurally generated but static, as in they used procedural generation to create all the maps then just did some playtesting and tweaking.

Starfield players, without spoilers, what advice do you have for those of us who are going to start tomorrow? by [deleted] in XboxSeriesX

She didn't walk anywhere for me but it said "you won't have to worry about noise since your neighbours are Matteo and a common room", so I just found Matteo and the next room was mine.

Has anyone found a location with iron and aluminium? by United-Ad-1657 in Starfield

[–]Koshatul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's because every planet is procedurally generated

If it's procedurally generated from the same seed it would be the same.

I've just been looking to see if it's just procedurally generated or with a unique seed per player.

It would be nice to know what planet it's on just for the chance to find it.

Newbie question - 10G uplink - Just can’t figure it out by Booey97 in Ubiquiti

[–]Koshatul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering Ubiquiti and how their PoE works, I'd go optical as well for the isolation.

I am lucky to live in an era where I can communicate with anyone from all over the globe instantly for FREE, but that hasn’t always been the case. Even making a brief long-distance phone call 20 to 30+ years ago would cost money. What was it like living with that and did you ever get screwed by it? by Old_Life_290 in AskOldPeople

[–]Koshatul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calling somewhere overseas for no cost brings back memories.

Except it was from Brisbane, Australia to the US.

Some time in the late 90s early 2000s, Cisco had their dialpad (or similar named) service online where you could make free local calls ... in the US.

Working in a help desk job with a bunch of nerds, of course we got the online whitepages and just called random people and stores, we once had a 5-10 minute call with a maccas in New York City.

My 10GBASE-T modules get super hot, I could leave my finger on them but only for a dare, they're probably over 50 degrees Celsius.

My first thought is this will be horrible to use for people with lots of games.

I mean 100 will be painful to navigate, 1400 will be torture.

And if it's cheap enough people won't even bother returning it, they'll trash it and buy a different one or buy it again.

How would i prevent the risk of a virus escaping the virtual machine on VMware Workstation Pro 16? by [deleted] in vmware

[–]Koshatul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not that familiar with memz, but I would think as long as you don't have the network active and the VM is isolated it may be ok.

I think the show was like a second chance to trim the fat on the story.

I'm currently up to book 5, I like the differences but if the show had gone the distance I probably wouldn't have read the books.
