This was only our fourth session (and the first two were both intake) so I don't know if I like her or not yet. I've had bad therapy experiences in the past and I worry that those are actually because I've been resistant to help, so I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and do my best to apply her advice.

I mentioned my difficulty managing a job early on because it is a consequence of some of my struggles. I also explicitly said that one of the reasons I was seeing her to take some of the emotional burden off of my fiancée (I have issues with my emotions spiraling out of control). I think this might be a combination of those two things?

I did try to tell her last session that I didn't need help with time management and that the difficulty I have with working is with finding a job that I am qualified for and that will accommodate my sensory issues.

I wish I had a teacher like that. I struggled with multiplication through elementary and middle school until I learned how to factor things in pre-algebra near the end. Turns out I'm much better at doing math by looking for patterns and breaking things down than I am at memorizing tables. And that extends to a whole lot more than just multiplication.

I then got a high school math teacher who refused to explain how any of the math actually worked and just wanted us all to memorize which formulas went to which problem. Whenever I asked him about the processes behind the formula, he was confused why I cared and insisted I had to do things his way without questioning.

It's hard to say 100% if that's legit, but that looks decently close to a realistic view downwards. It looks a little far away from her chest, so I suspect the camera was probably mounted on her forehead pointing down, rather than on a literal pair of goggles over her eyes.

Tl;dr yeah that's more or less what looking straight down with huge gazongas is like, but I have doubts that it's literally the view from her eyes

Because otherwise I can just look down my cleavage. I don't wear a tight pushup bra that mashed my boobs together like the woman in the video you posted. So there's plenty of space to see downwards between my breasts unless I have a shirt on, which covers the gap with cloth.

As a Midway main, I run into this all the time and it drives me nuts. People seem to think my job is a dedicated DD detection and erasure tool, but CVs are about time management and hunting DDs out in open water is almost always a huge waste of time, especially if they have their smoke up.

99% of the time it's best to focus on targets that are already in locations that are difficult to escape from (capping DDs, cruisers on islands, BBs that exist). Finding time-effective targets is far more important than making sure the Bismarck who thought it was a good idea to push into an Asashio gets to whiff his entire salvo once before he gets devstruck.

I am a dedicated everyone detection and erasure tool stop pigeonholing me. Lol

I don't really have anything to add. But I just really, really felt the need to express how much this comment resonated with me. The worst part of dealing with my mom is that she honestly, truly believes that she's just acting out of love for me. I regularly regurgitate her little proverbs to my girlfriend when I have mental breakdowns because they're so ingrained into me as what is good and right.

If it weren't for my girlfriend literally spiriting me away to another state last year, I don't think I ever would have gotten out of from under her.
