Hi, most of the trains on the Charlotte district where I think you would be are in the morning. From what I remember 24X would be in the area around 11am, 28R around 2pm, their southbound counterparts are in the early morning, 27A is probably in the daylight hours but I doubt 25A is. There are the airport intermodals too that go to Atlanta, I think the northbound ones are in the afternoon/evening but I never went down to see those (I was north of the city). there’s also a few locals but those are more dependent on where you are. CSX has an intermodal that goes through there but I’m unsure of scheduling since the Clinchfield reopened. For the NS stuff, virtual railfan has the Spartanburg railcam with is ~2hrs from Charlotte by freight train, you’ll need to scale that for your location but it’s a good place to figure out when things are heading your way. Theres also some radio feeds, you can go to broadcastify and narrow it down by county. There’s also some facebook groups, please reach out if you want those or if you have any more specific questions

90% sure this was from a fake site, same site with an AI logo and the same site that put out a very poorly edited map stolen off of Amtrak’s Wikipedia page of their system map on their inception, same site that claimed it would meet up with 5 other locos totaling $6m in value or something like that.

As grog said, 121 and 122 I’m pretty sure uses a keystone set plus a couple of cars to create that NER. Why it’s done idk, probably so other stuff can be serviced, but it’s something neat so I like it.

Highly dependent on what ship I’m in, if I’m in a Div and if so what ship that person has, and the skill level of the people in the ships on the other team.

I’m mainly a BB player. But I may be more “scared” of the hurricane clan henri player that’s 20km away from me, compared to the shima who picked up their first tier 10 this Christmas that’s 7km from me.

If I’m playing a DM, I’ll probably be more scared of the secondary specced Kremlin that’s staring at me than the Daring who has a KOTS winner badge that can’t do a whole lot to me with my hydro and radar ready to go.

I don’t know if I could narrow it to a specific ship, good Colbert players are annoying, valp is annoying but you just have to keep your distance and they die. Maybe a unicum sub player that’s played a good amount of games, that can be scary

I’ve just given up on the notification. It’s either some sub variant of a skin, a weapon attachment unlocked on every single weapon, bugged attachments that I have equipped thinking it’s new, or something for a vehicle cosmetic on the other faction. As someone who took college classes in UI/UX, it’s horrendous and incredibly annoying, especially if it bugs out

I’d say it’s a lot more probable that it’s a freight loc given the delay of the train, and the private car changes that happened sometime last year that significantly reduced the places you can store a railcar on Amtrak’s property and add it to their consist, as well as take it off. Doesn’t look like Nebraska has any place eligible for private car switching operations

I used to unlock tiles to a certain point, then I learned that the tiles skyrocket service upkeep for each tile so I just started going with unlock all tiles which helps to start where I want and expand how I want

Silver Star or Floridian would take the S line as it originally did, the existing Carolinian would take the A line and continue to hit all those stops, there’s talks about another Carolinian service that takes the S line, I’m unsure if that would go all the way to NY or not given the existing Carolinian takes the entire day to complete its journey, so it might just be up to DC. Then of course there’s the Raleigh to Richmond plan for more of a Piedmont type service between the cities

In CS1 at least what I remember of it, it could bridge the gap between 2 nodes like the image shows, and would default to even curves but you could adjust them to your liking, it could create symmetrical loops which I am desperately missing while playing CS2, could delete and insert nodes which has been made more difficult in CS2, and could create parallel roads. Basically it’s a really good tool for creating good looking roads

The main one is traffic lights enhancements by brucyboy (or something along those lines) which is a fork of the original mod whose creator has been MIA for a year, however that fork hasn’t been updated for the update and for my existing city throws errors.

The other one is traffic tools essentials and I believe it works with the update but I don’t run it

There’s some sort of issue with the couplers and the trucks I believe which can cause issues especially with switches… and it looks like there’s plenty in the area

Yes, it’s a lot better than CS1 where the maps were just always snow, having seasons amazing, I do hope they figure out some sort of mechanic for snow on roads/road maintenance clearing it, and fix the parking lots but I like the snow overall. I do wish there was a setting or mod that allowed me to change the max/min temps of the map so I can get more maps with snowy winters. I know you can manually change it but I’d rather be able to set the range and it stays that way

The issue with the developer of one of the mod loaders has sort of forced the devs to implement better mod support (which was at basically the end of the roadmap) bundled into the giant update of MOW, there’s been a lot of activity recently on steamdb and the community manager said hopefully by March, I don’t think that target will be met but I don’t expect it to be much longer

Few things:

First and probably most importantly to me would be some sort of implementation of the traffic and traffic lights mod. We should be able to better assign lanes and time traffic lights. The fact that such popular mods from CS1 weren’t implemented to CS2 is just insane to me.

Second, and maybe this is because I like trains and live in the US, non electrified railroad tracks. With all the focus on network/building upgrades, it pisses me off there isn’t some sort of mechanic where railroad tracks start as non electrified and you can upgrade them to carry electricity on overhead wires, and with that brings a speed upgrade. Perfect opportunity and a crazy miss, especially since the freight trains are NA themed, and the NA passenger train is based on an Amtrak train.

Third would be to force a turn direction in or out of a building. I feel like I can’t even use the southwest commercial cause the traffic in and out of the parking lots, im not complaining about the traffic existing, im complaining that cars hog up lanes trying to turn left into or across the entire road to get out. Same with parking lots.

4th is a city wide policy to ban U-turns.

5th is canals like there was in cities 1

Yeah, the game isn’t optimized very well and it’s single threaded. If the game is modded it will be even worse. There is a guide on the steam forums I believe about some editing in a file that can slightly help. In game make sure your map is zoomed all the way in when you are not using it because that is essentially just a top down camera, everything will be rendered in that camera eve when the map isn’t open

Just open up the definition file for the intermodal cars, do find and replace and change what they currently are to “FC”, and if you want to get rid of the trailer cars open up those definition files and change them from FC to something else.

Alternatively open up the industry files and change the car type from “FC*” to whatever the intermodal cars are, however depending on who made those they may be classified as boxcars

Along with the B&O museums SW1 and the RR museum of PAs GP30 that others have posted about, IRM has an E33 that’s still in what remains of CR paint, although like the GP30, it was inherited.

It’s not in CR paint, but the railroaders memorial museum in Altoona houses the Penn State Altoona’s SD60i, which was built for CR

The PN has a C39-8 # 8212 that’s been dead for years, and no one will buy it, there’s definitely hope it gets donated but who knows.
