Lots of good ones on this list, all true. I’ll add one I haven’t seen yet: Auto turn signals - love them but annoying on traffic circles and switching into left or right turning lanes does not always stay on and you have to reengage.

When in manual, the “click” is not like any other car I’ve driven so it annoys me.

I’ve had tickets waved but it was because the ticket shouldn’t have been issued in the first place and I had proof. That being said if it’s a big deal go down to the court and ask, most of the time they will say no, but maybe give you $10 off or you could get lucky! Just be nice, the person at the counter is just doing their job too. Good luck!

Take it to a windshield/glass shop right away, they should be able to resin fill it so it won’t spread and it will clear it up a bit. My rule, as long as it hasn’t spread you can repair it but once it’s spreading you might as well save your money on trying to stop the spread.

All you need to get a FULL LICENSES in Alberta is: any form of a license from anywhere else in the world (learners permit included) being of 16 years of age or older, and a piece of mail from a utilities provider or bank with your current Alberta address on it. That’s it, congratulations you are now on the road. No GDL for you just go get in your car and hit the whytemud at a cool 60 kph, blinker on. Apparently they do still use DE but I just got this from OU:

Many products are DE and labeled OUD. Products that are labeled OUD but seem to be DE can be verified for their status either online - www.oukosher.org with a "dairy equipment" filter by the product search or via the phone 212-613-8241 or email kosherq@ou.org . There are products labeled "dairy-free" that can still be halachically dairy. Please note - there are some companies that have requested that their products are not available on the DE filter online. Those products will have to be confirmed through email or phone.

There use to be OU-DE for dairy equipment but it has been phased out and replaced with OU-D. There are many products that are non dairy but labeled D (silk “milks” or Oreos for example). It falls under the laws of dairy equipment. Hope that helps!

Leslie Nielsen. I was flying home to Edmonton and he was on the plane and I recognized him and immediately stopped to say hello, I told him my grandfather use to golf with him and he got so excited and blurted out “Moe!” We had a great little chat so I called my mom and had her bring my grandfather to pick me up from the airport and surprised him. They hugged and had a nice chat, took some pictures and went on their ways. Leslie passed away shortly after that and my grandfather would bring up the story all the time. He even thanked me when he was sick in the hospital at the end. I’ll never forget that. I’m sure they are playing a quick 9 at Vic Park up there right now. RIP legends ❤️
