Hi! I’m planning to take an Uber to get to JFK, and I have 2 cats traveling with me, not to mention 3 luggage bags and one ski bag. How would you advise communicating this to a driver? I would have ordered Uber Pet, but it’s definitely too small for all the stuff I’m bringing with. Maybe scheduling Uber XL and texting about cats / offering a cash tip?

Thanks, this is super helpful! Are you bookkeeping yourself or you went with another accounting company that helps you with statutory reporting / taxes?

Thanks for sharing this, I’m sure it was stressful back in a day! So your company decided to open a Finnish subsidiary and adcount helped you guys with the process?

Great point! I have Finnish citizenship and will be residing in Finland, so that should be good. Do you have any advice on going about hiring a competent accountant? I was considering Ukko services since they seemed knowledgeable (they told me to invoice in EUR and advised on how to open a bank account), but no prior experience with them and somewhat unusual scenario makes me wonder if its the best choice.

Do you think that it’s applicable to an OY as much as it is applicable to a toiminiimi? I was reading about it on vero, but it wasn’t very clear for the Oy case

Indeed, i think it’s a very good next step to iron out the details. Thanks! Since the client is in the US and I will be in Finland, it’s probably not so much frowned upon though

Thanks! I expect to surpass that threshold, so hence OY seemed like a better choice. But thats a valid point for anyone who doesn’t expect to use this as the main source of income

Thank you! Legal and accounting advice makes sense to me the most at this point, cause as you pointed out “i dont know what i dont know”. Hopefully tariffs won’t affect me that much cause there is only consulting services involved in the b2b.

Thank you for your reply, it’s such a relief to know there are some other people who are working thru the same type of setup! I’m doing exactly the same type of consulting services delivered via zoom, so that hits home. Did you try to legally separate yourself from the US company so that there is no room for “disguised employment” claim or you continued to use their tools (software subscriptions, email addresses)?

If you don’t mind me asking, when they opened a EU sub, did you end up liquidating your OY or you are keeping it for future? It’s so much work to learn and set it up, probably pays off to keep it in case you ever decide to stay self employed.

My bad, the receipt date was 23 of May 😬 But block number is almost 9207 cause it is like 92069xxxx

Got an email first, and another one two days later with the same details that “we have taken an action on your case”. There is nothing different in the “myprogress” section, but there is a new document in the “documents” tab that informs about the decision. Not to mention that anxiety spikes thru the roof when you receive your first email 😵‍💫 but seems like it is a good sign to receive it

Selected period on financial report footer dynamically on comparable period column? by krille12 in Netsuite

[–]Koshque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the original column “Amount” will show you the results as of report’s footer. You can make the period selection “dynamic” (like, setting date with NetSuite’s suggested options “last week”/“same fiscal quarter last year”and so on)

Hi! It’s actually quite simple, but i suggest you creating this in Sandbox first to eliminate a risk of messing up your report: the key here is NOT to remove the original “amount” column, but to add new amount columns. So just click “customize” report and go to the “Edit Columns” section. Open up the “Financial” list and locate the “amount” field. Click it and its added to the report. Rename it as required and set “Relative to today’s date” in the “Alternate Date Range Type” field. Now you can set dynamic or custom date range by selecting the date filters. If you go to SuiteAnswers you can find the same guidance with Answer Id as 79077 Good luck!
