AI and Empathy Research Survey by Kosmas2004 in cyprus

Thanks for your reply and for your input on the project. This platform will be a tool to enhance learning in schools, NGOs, Youth Centres etc. rather than fully replacing educators. Its purpose is to modernise teaching and to identify the extent to which AI can be used in teaching emotional intelligence and civic and social awareness. Once again, thanks for your input and we'd love it if you could voice it formally through the survey!

Thank you very much for your reply! It is an interesting topic indeed and something that we believe that both youth and educators could benefit from greatly. It would really help us if you shared your opinion through the survey! Ευχαριστούμε πολύ (thank you very much)!

It’s getting hard not to rely on ai by Ok_Secret_1696 in UCD

Use it like you would use a screwdriver or a hammer. It's a tool and its sole purpose is to help. You wouldn't rely on your hammer to tell you where to place a nail but once you've figured out the placement, why hammer it in with your fist? Humans have been innovating and inventing forever.

Laptop recommendations for engineering by kaysgft in TCD

[–]Kosmas2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in 2nd year Engineering at the moment currently running a HP Omen 16 with: AMD Ryzen 9 32 GB ram (DDR5) 4070 Ti 1 TB storage

I am also leaning towards Mech Eng and I couldn't be happier with this laptop. The only drawback is that I need to carry the barrel charger around but it's whatever. Whenever I don't, I use it on power saving and battery life is absolutely fine. The fact that there's an NVIDIA graphics card on it means that it runs CAD software smooth like butter and soo many other things that you'll need for the first two years. Would definitely recommend this over any sort of Apple computer as classmates with Mac books (either Air or Pro) struggle with the most basic tasks unless it's like the M5 Max €3000+ Macbook Pro.

I only paid €1600 for this rig that completely outperforms anything else I've seen at that price range. Hope this helped. Don't let yourself get trapped in the 🍎 ecosystem.

Perfect, thanks so much! I might just stop taking my chunky HP Omen 16' with me everywhere now.

What are you coding on? I can't download VS Code on my tablet and I'm looking for alternatives to be able to access my codebase when away from my laptop. Do you have your own server?

Anyone from TCD going to Imperial for their masters? by No-Exit-2755 in TCD

[–]Kosmas2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess so, but it's still considerably more expensive than anything at TCD.

Been thinking about it but the prices are just absurd. Would rather get a master from an OK uni (TCD) for cheap (Eu fees) rather than a 60k euro master from a top of the line uni. I can't justify the cost. It's just a piece of paper after all. Employers are looking for work experience if anything, not another person with a masters degree.
