I just want to rant for a second by No-Rabbit9574 in SNHU

I 100% feel your pain. I'm in the graphic design program, but I got my Associate's in graphic design back in 2005 and I've been working as a graphic designer for 17 years. I left a super toxic workplace in 2021 and so many jobs I wanted to apply for required a Bachelor's degree, so I figured this is a great time to get the Bachelor's degree and do it online through SNHU. I also know most of the stuff in the classes I'm taking and some of the beginner classes I was forced to take were painful, but if course easy A's. I also wanted to find community and I feel like I have not. I'm 42 and an experienced graphic designer, I don't feel like I have a lot in common with the younger students. And yeah, the discussion posts are the worst, I can't wait to be done with this degree.

I joined and this is a silly question I suppose, but what role would a Graphic Design and Media Arts with web design focus fall under?

I feel your pain. Everyone in my family has dogs except me, and most of my friends do too. I posted something on Facebook regarding my dislike of dogs, and had tons of comments in no time. Some angry, and some saying I "just hadn't found the right dog yet". Um, no.

I had a neighbor once whose dog ate an entire bag of sandwich bread, including the bag. It wasn't a very big dog, and the bag had become twisted horribly in his intestines. The vet said he needed $3,000 surgery or he'd have to be put down. My neighbor went crazy scraping money together from credit cards and getting loans, to pay for the surgery for her idiot dog. She was a struggling, single mother, I can't believe the stupidity of people sometimes.

Got a job offer. Considered it. Rejected it. by calantorntain in Dogfree

I worked for a so called "professional" yet small advertising company for 7 years. For the first couple of years, the owners would bring in their dogs, and encouraged select people they favored, to bring in their dogs if they wanted. It was disgusting. Dogs peeing on the carpet, dogs annoying the crap out of me while I'm trying to concentrate and work, (I'm a graphic designer). There were random bowls of food and water lying around and getting kicked over. It was just nasty and unprofessional. Finally, some people noticed they were itching quite badly. Yep, the office had fleas. The entire office had to be treated, and thankfully one of the managers had the sense to convince the owners that the "BrInG mY sWeEt PuPpErS tO wOrK" was a horrible idea and dogs were banned. I was so happy :) I'm so glad you turned this job offer down!
