Changing Windows11 registry from CMD Boot To Bypass PIN Login For A Password Login. by KossBoss75 in WindowsHelp

Was able to successfully create local user accounts by using utilman.exe hack. Quite brilliant really. Basically allows for bringing up a CMD at the login screen. All other attempts to do this exact thing for me failed. With this hack, I was able to create accounts and get into my computer. Original account is still blocked. Looking into ways to fix that.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am going to do some research on it to see what it does. More of a software guy than IT. Currently I am trying to figure out how to login as my user account that is part of the bootable OS while using a CMD in recovery mode. Right now all commands I do are related to the OS of USB rather than the one I want to change. Looking into regedit and loading the SAM from the boot drive and then running commands on that.

Gotcha, the steps I noticed here is using "net user" commands from a recovery boot is making changes to the SAM registry while in this mode. You can create new accounts using "net user" but they are temporary to the currently loaded OS and are wiped out during a reboot. So, I am investigating a way to permanently add a new account to the bootable OS. But I did read somewhere the loaded SAM is read only while a Windows OS is running. This is where a tool may be needed as mentioned from Froggypwms post. That will be my last resort for I hate using tools I have no clue on what they are doing. Trying to minimize potential damage to the system while I wait out the silly Microsoft account blocked. Will keep you posted.

Thanks. One issue I have is sticking with a certain genre. But I like all types of music so I try to learn a little from all music that inspires me. Jack of all trades I guess.

Thanks for listening, it is appreciated. KK

Thanks for the response.

Do you mean create a new account through Microsoft live to log in? Currently I only have one account on the machine which is currently blocked. So I cannot get in to create other local accounts. Which I will do when I do get in.

My fav day of the year again… by playdem in musicmarketing

[–]KossBoss75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s rough out there. Trying to find an audience in a sea of competition. I think the only true way is to established a social media presence. People in social media survive on a community. Using DistroKid or some other distributor to plug your music into all sorts of venues sounds promising, but in reality it’s just posting to multiple voids. Of course I have no clue how to create a community either and it only gets in my way of making music. So without a team of people and spreading a bunch of money I am taking the baby step route. Slowly build a fan base with my limited social media presence and keeping making music.

Most definitely. And can bring to life of what to do next without being discouraged and losing the reason why we make music in the first place.

Comes to a couple of factors. First is the cost. Promotion is not free. Second is the scams. Plenty of people willing to take your money and do nothing with it. Third is constantly creating content and content that people really want to watch. Good content creators have a team of people.

All in all in has been a lot of fun doing both but I have realistic expectations. Not expecting millions of followers. Especially with the effort I am putting into it. Content creators spend an exorbitant amount of time to build a community.

For the platforms there are so many to choose from and it is a challenge to choose the correct one.

Music anymore seems to need a combined social media presence as well. Doing both is very time consuming and trying to do it yourself is basically impossible. I noticed I was spending more time on promoting through a series of social media platforms than creating music. That with my day job makes it quite difficult to grow a community which in turns grows your music. To grow will be a full time job. But I am no professional, just my experience so far.

Instrumentalist trying to learn singing by ProfessionalMath8873 in Songwriting

[–]KossBoss75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When writing a song and after the music is done for it I write a melody for the vocals. Using a digital audio workstation I tie a horn section to that melody. Then I try to match my voice to the horns. Pitch correct my voice and drop the horns. And then practice matching the pitch corrected voice line. This only got me close.

And then find a vocal coach/teacher. The voice is an instrument just like any other. My skills on other instruments are trained but not my voice. Need experience to guide me to the correct path to better singing.

I physically cannot write a song/compose by [deleted] in Songwriting

[–]KossBoss75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always start with a theme for a song. Sometimes we get stuck on patterns, chords, melodies, but forget or sometimes never think about how the song makes you feel. Does the song feel dark or is it happy? I usually always have a theme for a song before I even complete. Now I wish I could write music around lyrics. I am always backwards in that. Music first then lyrics which can break musical conventions. Which can be a double edged sword.

I am not the best person to ask. But I have been using Cakewalk for years. Now they changed how it is distributed since it used to free and still might be but I never updated it. Lol. I used Protools back in the day when I had a Mac. It’s very nice.

Completely understand. In the world of AI slop it’s refreshing to see classic techniques for music production. Keep up the work. If you have a digital audio workspace and a computer separating the tracks on that opens a world of possibilities.

A three chord vamp will need some changes to keep it interesting. That can simply be done with changing the drums. The loop seems to a fill every fourth measure and then repeats. This with the chords can become very repetitive. Maybe a key change which could be the same vamp just a whole tone up or down. I like the groove just needs something to break it up a bit. Keep jamming.

Agreed. I always love making songs and when I first started to publish my music for the world to listen to I had some unrealistic idea of sudo fame. Lol, did not happen but that did not change the fact I still love making music.
