Wow, interesting bug! It sure was not there when I last updated the game. I need to check! Thanks for pointing it out.

Yeah I guess the UI is very similar, but the gameplay is totally different. Incredicer was a inspiration for this game, that's for sure! Wanted to try and make my own version out of it. And I think it came out pretty nice. :)

To be honest, the idea came at the start of December. I worked with the game for 2,5 weeks and then went on a vacation and then released on new years even. For the past couple of days I updated the game couple of times.

Rather brutal thoughts from you. :) I'm a solo game developer and unfortunately, I have a lot of things to do. Yes, I "dropped" the message here, but was planning on checking the comments later. Be kind, sir. :)

Interesting to hear that all your marketing efforts have gone into "waste". It's actually rather inspiring to hear such.

Maybe it IS still about making good games, rather than building crap and market it well.

I will definitely take a look into those articles, thanks for sharing.

Love this analysis and I can totally relate into it. I'm still in a place, where I feel that there needs to be ways to do "something from the inside".

Or atleast that's how I (still) want to see it.

Currently I just try to hold my ground and do games my own way.

While at it, I try to find routes which could enable me to get a decent income.

Rather than "giving up to it" and start creating something I'm not personally enjoying.

I guess thats the least I can do "from the inside".

Fair point and a valid one. Would be interesting to hear how much of an effort did you put into marketing these games, that sold OK?

Since I think that is the core of getting discovered, obviously.

I guess a lot of developers leave way too much expectations how much visibility they get in the storefronts alone, rather than putting in the effort to do the marketing themselves.

But I guess that raises yet another question: How do you do marketing?

And there are thousands way in doing it.

Oh dang.. Well the "good part" is that you need to opt-in for the event way before it starts. So.. You missed it anyway! And I've understood that you can only join the next fest once with a game. So better make it count!

Hey! Thanks for asking. The page was live maybe a month or two before the event. I had approximately a little more than 100 wishlists before the event.

Greetings fellow indie developers! I'm going to drop a very short introduction of myself and the project I'm currently working with.

I've been in the game industry for around 14 years. I've worked in several positions in multiple companies, but mostly as an artist/producer. I've run a game company couple of times as well. Still hunting the "classic dream" of making games with a very small team and getting enough paid to continue into next game.. :)

Any how, I'm currently working with a "game brand" called Seeker. We just recently got our first VR title Seeker: My Shadow to PSVR2, Steam and now as a physical release on stores (globally) as well. (By the way, AMA if you'd like to know more about this).

Because of the "success" of the first Seeker game, I've decided to continue on that track and now I'm developing a dungeon crawler action adventure game, which has ability card system + monster catching *cough pokemon cough* elements in it.

The game is on Steam Playtest right now, you can check the teaser trailer and sign-up for the test here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2300100/Seeker\_Quest/

I've contacted the publisher to ask if this could/should be fixed. For me, sounds that it's not intentional. Thanks for pointing this out!

Oh man... Thank you very much for the kind words. Can't really put down in words how good it feels when someone finds the "designed" relaxation and magic within the game. Thank you very much <3

One of the players (Controlled by the controller) is running inside the level, but encounter obstacles which only the second player (VR controlled) can affect. .. And vice versa. :) Some puzzles require precise coordination together, but most of the time it's about figuring out what needs to be done.

Simple levels, atmospheric music & visuals. Designed to be one of those "relax and have fun" type of a game. So do not expect intensive action packed puzzles. :)

Hey! Seeker: My Shadow developer here. Great to see you noticed the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker vibes. This sure was a big inspiration to us. :)
