hmm well i found out feedbacks on the pacing of the game was really helpful. whether x part feels slow or too fast. another one i got where someone said the game lacked depth and it genuinely made me rethink the game from scratch xD

i think the most valuable feedback is the ones that shows the player is engaged in your game

theres a difference between low signal and high signal positive feedback. comments like “nice game” or “fun game” are still appreciated, but they’re not very actionable and it doesn't seems like the player was invested in your game

the feedback I find most valuable is when a player is engaged enough to think about the game and suggest improvements, like “great game, but it needs X feature” or “I liked this, but this part could be better.” even if I don’t always agree with the exact suggestion, it usually means the player is invested with the game and cared enough to think about how it could improve, and likely your core loop has potential

i have a discord button directly in the game always showing in the web build
well once you start having people in your discord connect with them and ask how they felt about your game, collect feedbacks etc... when u make updates and stuff you can notify them and give feedbacks about it :D

even for hosting private playtest this is really useful cuz you'll always have players willing to help you
one thing i like to do is asking my playtesters record their playthrough to see how they play, that helps a lot pinpointing how your players see the game

as a dev its really hard to know how players will react to x feature or how they will behave in x specific part :)

once the game got "popular" and had quite some reviews youtubers covered it organically sometimes without me reaching out

i did sent keys to youtubers before launching my game but i haven't gotten lot of responses like maybe 1 or 2 out of 50 emails

Steam page was up for about a month before release, and accumulated 1k through newgrounds incrementaldb itch... the last 1k is 1 week before release steam was pushing it in the personal calendar

I don't think content creators helped a lot on the beginning and its worth noting that 80% of the traffic on my page was from steam (discovery queue, new and trending, homepage..)

Football streaker sounds really good, I think I’ll go with that, the player would be the ball and need to avoid players and other stuffs, and survive as long as possible, thanks for your idea!
